Heavily inspired from Lethal Company, this game can be a blast with friends. The way the mimics speak are so much better then I expected. Well worth the money.

After hearing good things about the game, I first gave it a shot a year or two ago. After playing about 30ish minutes, the only goal I knew about was learning about an extinct alien race, which didn't grab me. Not realizing there was autopilot, I struggled to land on a planet. With no direction to go in and overwhelmed with the idea of having to blindly explore entire planets, I lost motivation and quit.

Fast forward to recently when I got a Steam Deck. I gave Outer Wilds another chance, and once I started to discover there were other, personally more interesting mysteries out there, I was hooked. This is now easily one of my top 10 favorite games, it's a great combination of mystery, exploration, and puzzle solving (and a great soundtrack), it's a masterpiece.

Don't get discouraged or overwhelmed, stick through it, it's worth it.

An amazing VR port that is so much better then most actual VR games

Ubisoft intentionally broke co-op with the new update in April 2025. The made it so in co-op, only the host can advance their character. Do not get this game if you want to play with a friend/family.

Outstanding work by the developers. One of the hardest puzzle games I have played, but also the most satisfying to solve. Truly feels like Portal 3.

Broke the game with an update. It's now impossible to accept the EULA, none of the troubleshooting guides work.

They are charging for a hardcore mode with few skins? This has got to be a joke...

I would recommend it, but an update completely broke the game. My VR controllers are completely unresponsive (they work fine in every other game). I contacted support weeks ago, but I didn't receive any response.

Update: Several months later, the developers still have not offered a solution

Developers removed portions of the game for virtue signalling. They went full on woke, it's actually sickening. By appeasing the 0.01% of players asking for this, they angered the majority. Great business strategy
