Early Access Review
The best zombie game out currently. I am a huge follower of zombie games, having gone through Resident Evils, DayZ, State of Decay, L4D, Dying Light, RDR2 Undead Nightmares, Dead rising. Nothing beats this in terms of pure zombie apocalypse survival.

Pros:
- Massive customisation options: Choose your zombies and the settings of the world. Play out your favourite zombie scenarios, whether that be 28 days/months later, Romero's shambling hordes or even The Last Of Us.
- Incredibly deep systems: Sweat, body temperature, insulation, calories, carbs/proteins, exercise fatigue, wounds, infection, farming, metalwork, cleanliness, full car mechanics (repair engine, change headlights, replace windscreen etc), gun customisation, crafting, sound radius/effects, random scenarios/events (helicopter flies above, gunshots/screams in the distance), seasons and weather effects! SO MUCH MORE
- Massive modding community: From scenarios to the batmobile, customize your game with the thousands of mods available that are one-click install from the workshop.
- Intense scenarios: You wake up to your house on fire and the hordes swarming. You accidentally set off a nearby car alarm in the middle of the city, run, fight, hide? Fight the other players online or work together!
- Dedicated developers that post development updates almost every week. The game has changed an incredible amount since its first early access, the devs listen to the community, implement good community mods into the game and are committed to making this the best zombie game.

Cons
- Steep learning curve for beginners: Unlike most games people have played, the game is very tough for beginners but can become easy for the experienced. Though important to note that it is good to challenge yourself with new difficulty settings.
- End-game is lacking: Once you get a base with water/food and electricity, there can be little to do. Often around a month or two into a playthrough (in game time) you can be relatively set for years. Important to note for some this can be a good thing as it allows you to go out and just run down hordes with a well stocked machine gun or explosives. You definitely need to be able to set your own goals as the game gives you none other than your immediate needs e.g. not to be dead/starving/thirsty
- Vanilla is vanilla: The unmodded experience can be lacking. Less of a con but best played with mods after you've learnt the base mechanics!
- Solitary experience: At time of this review there are no NPC's or animals roaming around, just you and zombies can become stale after a while. Definitely better with friends.
- Multiplayer: Without being able to speed up time like in singeplayer, mundane activities like reading skill books or sawing logs can take minutes meaning you just sit there afk for minutes/hours. I think there may be mods to fix these but I have not used them yet.

Happy to field any questions. I would wholeheartedly recommend the game!
