I wanted to like this. I loved Just Cause 3 so much, and I gave this a shot even though I knew about the mixed response it got.

No. The reviews were right this time. Messing around is fun, but other than that nothing really is fun. Liberation has been replaced with little missions, so your squad can take it later. However, I only had the problem with too little squads in the very beginning, so it just felt like a unneeded hurdle. I never felt like I was stronger than before either.

Challenges were replaced with small tiny tasks littered around everywhere. "Go through a ring with this specific car we left maybe 50 meters away", "Go through this ring fast", "Wing suit through 2 hoops that are 10 meters apart within 5 seconds"

I hoped the missions were at least fun, but I was dead wrong. Listen to plan, do 2 preparation missions, do a final mission. That 3 times. I had literally forgotten how the villain looked because there was barely any screen time for him. It felt like there were 2 cut-scenes in total for him!

The cut-scenes break immersion completely too. Fade to black, watch a short scene (sometimes with completely different weather), spawn someplace different.

Please 4g pick better dates to release big stuff. I have very big projects to work on and tests to study for, but here I am studying ways to make number go up faster

A sequel to an amazing game, adding on to it and not losing its charm. One of the best sequels.

One of my favorite games, and one of the few that got me to cry. Rarely do games make me adore their writing, but this game definitely did.
