Another half baked game like OMD3, once again feeling like a lesser game than OMD2. Very little choice in how you want to approach each map and just...such limited content. It's like the devs don't look at what they had in their previous games before making a new one, thus making the game feel like a standalone expansion without previous content.

Also, the whole roguelite elements meme with the only notable upgrades being ranom temporary buffs for that session is not the way to go. Really just a flat experience.

I have way more hours in Sacred than Steam has recorded, since I have been booting the game through an HD mod. I have completed the main and underworld campaign as part of my isometric ARPG marathon and boy am I glad that I decided to go on this journey.
Sacred is an absolute gem that deserves more recognition. For a game that first came out in 2004 this game has an impressive amount of content to dig into. The world is absolutely huge with varied environments and although the graphics obviously are dated, the art style is still beautiful. The whole overall vibe of the game is so very charming with lots of interesting places and funny characters.
The gameplay, while having the jank of a game from its time is still quite impressive in several ways. The amount of classes and build variety for each class is awesome and the itemization seems deep and complex. I am sure there is plenty to dig into, if you are a fan of older ARPG's. The game may not have any "true" endgame content, being more akin to Diablo 2 in its gameplay loop, but that could be enough with all the different builds to try out. I have not looked at the modding scene but there seems to be some good extra content to get there.
Overall a very fun and charming experience. Ascaron were cooking with this and I wish they were still around. On to Sacred 2!

Crate are some of the very few great developers left in the industry. They have treated their fan base incredibly well over the years and continue to do so. This is more than worth it just for the ability to support them alone, but the skins look cool as heck too!

Apparently only the host gets progress in co-op. Unacceptable and very disappointing

For a survival game there sure are better options out there. The game does everything it can to waste your time. Some good ideas but badly implemented

One of the greatest games ever made. Sadly, the game was stolen from the devs. Read up on it. ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ terrible
