Love what Hooded Horse and the dev team have done here. Amazing concept executed beautifully for an early access game. Great things have come with this - if you're looking for an in depth city building simulator with complex mechanics to learn and want to have a combination of medieval style combat chucked into the mix - then this is the game for you. I'm not going to spoil much for the game but it's a rich experience especially for fans of games such as Bannerlord, Hearts of Iron, Cities Skylines and Age of Empires.

This being said..

The performance isn't great but is expected for an early access release. I'm running a GTX 4070 build with 32GB DDR4 3200Mhz and an I7-12700K and I'm frame dropping like a ♥♥♥♥♥ when I'm fast forwarding in time or declaring war on somebody or even the silliest of things happen like a new family moves into a new burbage and my game completely bricks. I hope the issues here are addressed quickly I'm looking forward to what the dev team are capable of doing.

To run this game and to advance into the much later stages like I have I'd say you'd need a decent rig to handle this. This being said however im sure optimization fixes are on their way soon!

For the most part however I'm capable of running at least a good 144+ frames until later stages of the game.

In summary, I'd highly recommend this game to those looking for a rich medieval style experience with birds eye view combat and a heavy focus on strategy and building. Great things are to come from this studio.

Played it for 1.5 hours, haven't even successfully figured out the ghost type yet nor performed an exorcism and I think I can safely say after 1.5 hours I need therapy. That's how long it took. I need a joint.
