I'm still not clear if the 3.5 hours was when you 'seen' all the mechanics of the game, or if you literally finished it in 3.5 hours.
If you actually finished it in 3.5 hours then definitely put that in the review.
cool
Of course, i can still appreciate the things that are done correctly. This game is not awful by any means, it has some good stuff.
Also... i never worry about the rating (on the stuff i create or the stuff that i like) cause if something is good, it will raise to it's place. Meaning, i might have downvoted this cause i don't like it. But if it's good, another 200 positive votes will burry my opinion and life will keep going.
Also, a game cannot be downvoted "unfairly" because at the end of the day, a review is a review, and it's an opinion. You either like it or not, you don't have to be fair.
Is it fair that i like blue? Some people would say that's a stupid question, right?
In any case, for a review not be "unfair" you would have to be an expert on the matter and NOT JUDGE ANYTHING. Just give information, but the moment you rate something, you judge it, it becomes an opinion. It could be a very well informed and full of knowledge opinion, but an opinion in the end.
and yeah I totally agree with the 'longer than 3.5 hours' and polished game thing,
devs are taking advantage of players by releasing too many unfinished games at once, so I totally agree with you there.
I'll have to see how the game is as I play it more,
we're all here to make a better gaming experience for everyone
-- Well you said that in your review,
that was literally the gist of your review was that 'it sucked compared to other games I played"
You can't say now, "it wasn't my intention to compare it to other games" when that was literally what you were saying your review was based on.
I might sound nit-picky saying that but I seen many games down-voted (unfairly) based on that false premise -
'I'll rate this game down, because other games are better, even though I don't know which actual games and if you ask me I can't give you any examples"
- that's a really messed up way of 'reviewing' games
1st - I had more fun with other games with cheaper prize (this was my point, not trying to compare to other games, but to go against the "considering the 10 € price into my review")
2nd - Prize is relative to the person's finantial status. I cannot recommend a game for being "cheap", cause "cheap" is relative. I think that a good review should give the info to decide for yourself if it's worth your bucks.
So yeah, it was never my intention to compare to other games, that's why a cannot think about a game to give you an example cause that's not what i intended. Every videogame is it's own experience (unless is a franchise, i guess).
In fact I was considering thumbing it down at first based on the premise that the developer seems to be pumping out small (even unfinished) games instead of taking the time to actually finish one and make it polished and a thorough gaming experience (a common problem with games on steam)..
I'll keep an eye out with just how long it is it's definitely not fair for gamers to pay for unfinished games,
when a developer goes off and works on 5 others at the same time
" As for other games within the same genre, i cant think of any right now, but well, im not comparing this game to another game, "
" i had more fun with other games " <<---->> " i cant think of any right now "
-- and there-in lies the problem with reviews like that, they 'compare' them to 'other' games and when asked 'which games?' you realize they're fictional and in someone's imagination (this is a common problem with reviews on steam, nothing personal)
