Banished!

At first I enjoyed the simulation, but despised the execution. It seemed impossible to maintain a decent population base without succumbing to eventual demise. Then I realized the point of the game was not to easily build a city, watching your people scurry about their work but rather to accurately simulate life of the time. Death is a eventuality and based on your actions, may happen ahead of schedule. The game is brutal however thats life, and thats what this game sets out to emulate.

I definately recommend this game if you are out for a challenge. If you want a forgiving simulation (simcity 4 where you can walk away and bank roll millions while your town hums away) This is not for you and you will probably abandon it after the first 4 hours.
