Played the demo twice the day it dropped. Weapons feel diverse, exploration is beneficial but not required. Feels like exactly what is advertised, a modern version of top down LoZ games like Link's Awakening.

♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ boy this is the second greatest Monster Hunter I have ever played. Monster Hunter Rise gets rid of all the trash ♥♥♥♥ from World and keeps the little bit of QoL that was actually worthwhile, then it gives you the SMOOTHEST, the FASTEST, and the HYPEST movement you have ever seen in a Monster Hunter game. Every fight is so fluid and when you're playing right you can weave around a monster with grace as you pulverize it. If you have ever enjoyed any Monster Hunter game BUY THIS GAME. If you've never played Monster Hunter before, give this one a shot, it's probably the most beginner friendly and has the best pacing of any Monster Hunter.

While the game looks beautiful, the game play itself felt unfair and short beyond reason for the price. The foreground frequently tricks you by blocking damaging terrain or enemies, or by making you think it is a platform and dropping you into lava instead.

Ori and the Blind Forest feels like a game with an inflated difficulty level just to make you feel the game has more value because it is "hard" when in reality it kills you because it feels like it.

Deep Rock Galactic is an immersive game that throws you into massive beautiful caverns. Each class has different guns and utility to offer to the team and (except for Deep Dives) no two caves are the same.

DRG has so much content that even at 50 hours I feel I've barely scratched the surface.
