DOOM - Review

What an absolute classic! That's where the real first wave of FPS games began. I don't think I need to introduce anyone to this gem, so just a couple of words on the port itself: it's lovely to have a port that supports modern resolutions. It also brings a couple of nice additions, like a crosshair. Additionally, this port supports some "verified" built-in WADs, which is always a plus.
Overall, a timeless classic.

DOOM II - Review

As much as I loved the game, it didn't feel as good as The Ultimate Doom. Even though we get a new weapon (which is a timeless classic at this point) and a handful of new enemies, the level design was my most disliked element. I think Romero did a way better job in the first Doom; I'm not a fan of Petersen's levels. Nevertheless, I still think it's a great game, and absolutely worth playing.
Now, a couple of words about the port - it has a couple of handy additions, like support for modern resolutions or even a crosshair, which is always a plus. On top of that, Bethesda keeps adding add-ons every so often, which are basically WADs "approved" by them. Most of them are super fun, definitely worth a try!
