Arma's a labor of love for both the developers and the community. At the time of writing this review, the only games that are able to bring the same sense of teamwork and community are MMO raid groups.

If you like sim-lite, community-driven, and creative games then this one's the one for you. While you could spend near 1000 hours just playing in singleplayer, the editor, and the various community scenarios, that would mean that you only accessed around 50% of the content available to you. I highly recommend finding a group to join up with in order to complete the experience.

I will note that a large minority of groups in this game are kinda trash - I implore you to shop around before you commit to one. It'll affect your experience in a major way.
