Early Access Review
This game is alright, its still in early access and the first game is still better but here is the pros and cons so far:

Pros:
-The aesthetic thats here looks really good. Its broken away from generic VR assets and feels more clearly like a specific time and place in history. I love the united nations themed probe launchers, and detectors.

-While i want more tradeoffs , the current inventory management system overhaul is very much in the right direction with different configurations for weapon holsters and gear.

- The fact that artefact hunting is more interactive is good. Stashes were a great part of the first game and making this interaction a core feature is great. Same with more visible anomalies where detection focuses on using your eyes.

Cons:
Quality of life: QOL in general is a step down from the previous game and definitely needs to be addressed. Small things like the left/right hand dominance option not affecting your holster as left/right weapon holster variants of webbing are separate purchasable items, No distinct setting for sitting down play which can make inventory management a little difficult, Probes being a finite resource, but being unable to be picked up (so if you drop one you cant just put it back in ) and things in the living quarters being too spaced out (e.g: gun racks, shelves, beds and webbing holder) making it more tedious to organise inventory.

At the time of this review the game has just come out, so its to be expected that the features are a bit skeletal, but i do hope efforts are made to consolidate the quality of the features that exist currently before adding anything new.

Probably one of the best games to play on console or Steam deck available. Also at full price this game is at a permanent discount.

This game is good but it feels like nothing new has been added to it. All the things that you just had in Hades or upgraded kind if simply in the previous game have been repackaged to have extra steps built into them. It kinda dilutes the gameplay when you can see through the charade of it. That being said, the art is great and the game seems to have benefited strongly from being a sequel as there feels like there is just so much more gameplay in this game then Hades (all the time Supergiant would usually spend in creating a new IP seems to just have been spent trying to shove as much content into this games story.

in its current stage it feels finished enough to recommend it. What it lacks in gameplay , it makes up in story.

I can say for certain now this game is really ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ good. Its already a deceptively long experience and the game isn't even finished yet. Its much like other survival games , but with a really unique story and setting with a particular focus on progression. Its very comparable to terraria where your constantly doing things to unlock more things in this epic adventure.

Its already so good at the moment, i can't imagine what heights this game will achieve.

This game scratches a looting shooting itch that i have. Its basically stalker in vr with all the fun elements of it translated perfectly into the new medium. It feels great to eat. smoke and drink in this game while searching through buildings to find new artifacts, ammo and guns. Its also paced very well with the downtime you spend inbetween missions as you organize the loot you find on your shelves and clean your weapons. My only real criticisms are that the final level is only explorable once and there is no way to go back and explore it further outside the mission for it.

Ok heres the main thing about this game. There lacks any test of mechanical skills that often appear in other games and any mechanical complexity in the weapons you have. Thats the reason why your seeing this wave of players saying they nerfed the weapons. One of the best weapons in this patch is a gun which automatically aims for you. I still think the game is good of course, but i think this game really needs to push for a greater complexity of interaction of missions, of weapons etc.

This game rewards smart and attentive players. Its the type of game that if you think you can do something with a weapon, you likely can and the freedom you get is just as satisfying as good shooting mechanics.

Also, the price right now is an absolute steal
