webfishing is fun, play it

This game is really fun, probably everything you'll ever want in a post-apocalyptic game. It has incredible accessibility to player changes and that includes outfits, armor, trinkets, etc. It's also completely free to play (excluding Fallout 1st subscription) - you can earn the shop points by passively playing at a neutral rate. Enemies are pretty diverse and the gun play is very nice and fairly balanced (until you get plasma flamethrower).

However; in Bethesda fashion, this game runs horribly. It runs smooth in terms of graphical fidelity but in their management of bugs and crashes it's wretched. If you are not an avid long time Bethesda fan this will probably drive you insane, but if you are it's tolerable and really only happens when you get later into the game due to higher enemy count events and generally more things going on in your game. It's a little ridiculous that such a big company still is unable to mitigate crashes or bugs in their game after so long, but again it's Bethesda.

7/10 - 3 points deducted and possibly more from me personally just due to the absurdity of the bugs and crashing problems.

I'm entirely encapsulated by this game, it's everything you could want in a survival free roam. It's not too easy, not too hard, and everything feels very balanced on the base difficulty. This has easily become my favorite game and I haven't even tried multiplayer with any friends yet. Definitely recommend this game for anyone who wants hours of fun.

Beware there are quite a few crashes, I crash about 3-4 times a day or more depending on how much I play. That said though, the game is easy to boot up and runs very well, so it's just a minor inconvenience unless you're on a lower end device.

EDIT - v41 has released and made the UI look ugly (in my personal opinion) adding strange boxes over lootables and highlighting items on selection rather than highlighting their box. You can no longer close out the [Loot] tab to start looting gun-first and you are now forced to loot the entire body to get to the gun, terrible change in looting. AI Recoil is pointless because allegedly it doesn't effect higher end units that much, went into a game and tested it for the Green Army outpost mission and they were hitting every possible shot. Very Disappointed in this update, furthered my disinterest for the game.

I would've left a positive review on this game during it's past version, v40. Undeniably though the recent gun mechanics overhaul killed the playability for me, and probably will for an average player. You lose 9/10 of the gun fights you enter with late-game factions, early game are relatively still the same. First boss can destroy you without hesitation now regardless of your armor or weapon of choice, whereas it didn't necessarily no-recoil laser you before. You have to rely on grenades and landmines once you are in later game for late enemies otherwise you should be expecting to return and try it over and over again. Generally, not a great overhaul and took a once enjoyable game and made it bland.

I do not recommend purchasing this unless you really want to itch that STALKER / EFT game binge, this is a pixel mock-up of those games merged but due to recent updates and functionality changes, it has become lesser of what it once was.

Highly Recommend this game to anyone who enjoys survival type games or grindy games. There are some bugs but they are highly avoidable and easy to fix through user solutions, and it's to be expected with Early Access and initial launch with the player count such as this game has.

Just a really fun game overall, definitely play it.

Ignore the negative reviews, try the game for yourself, it's really a lot of fun. If you are into "Open World Survival PvPvE"- and you like to LARP hardcore when you're gaming, this game is for you.

It has the looks of other blocky games but the functionality of a great game, and despite its clunky aesthetic, it's a really good looking game. (not to mention the map is absolutely massive and full of PvP / PvE / Exploration).

There really is an infinite amount of content for you to explore with this game and you don't need to have linear play-through either and specifically do the story missions, you can just do side quests and get big payouts - or grind for all your gear naturally.

Update: 31 hours in and I can tell you this game also has a very rich story, although it's not the best, it's a great way to pass your time. Over those 31 hours I was doing side quests, but mostly campaign, I beat the campaign and it was quite a struggle but it was genuinely fun. After the campaign you are allowed to continue playing the game (of course) as well as the game rewarding you greatly, I would highly recommend trying for yourself.

P.S - The further north you venture, the more thrilling the game becomes, and eventually you have to take it slow. Do not just run around trying to speed run everything, enjoy your experience.
