Fair warning, this game is real, bona-fide early access! It has the jank of a game in development and is currently in it's infancy.

- Right off the bat, the art style is phenomenal. It's clear there's love and care going into not only the models in game, but the splash art for characters and the various NPCs. No AI slop here!

- The gunplay is serviceable at this point in time (26/09/2024), with surprisingly smooth transitions from third person to first person ADS. Though the animations at this time are clearly a work in progress. Especially the shotgun.

- Performance is okay at high settings in 1440p on 100% render scaling. My GPU is an RTX 3080 10gb and CPU is a 10700k, I've got 32 gb of ram as well. Again, this is real EA, I expect it to run better down the line.

- Graphics and visual-wise, it's damn good looking. Even in the dismal grey cityscapes and ruins you have splashes of color from ambient lights or the time of day.

And for the big stink everyone is making about the water supply mechanic. This does NOT eliminate things your credits, you lose nothing but access to vendors and your stash until you get that water supply back up. Which will be easier to do if you've already had access to those vendors and built up your credits over prior water runs. Even a casual player can maintain a high water supply easily. For one, I think we should let these guys cook. It's a truly unique mechanic that I hope they refine and tweak at the edges. Keep it in! Don't buckle to these early cries.

All in all, this is an interesting EA project to follow and I look forward to future updates. If you can tolerate a little jank and growing pains, buy it! But if you're on the fence and wanna see how it grows, it doesn't cost you anything to wishlight & follow it!
