One of the best games I've ever played. I won't spoil much, but it's essentially a slow-burn, poignant atmospheric thriller that provides a good glimpse into post-collapse life in the former Soviet Union. The scenery reminds me of STALKER or the like, but with more vibrant life and emotion, and the characters are better than the famed indie Witcher series.

I have the most fun as a late game engineer, sitting inside my protective shield as my turrets ♥♥♥♥ stuff up around me

I'll recommend this solely because they didn't give up when the launch was bad.

It's a good game. Good music, good combat, good art/models.

I am the instrument through which the machines flow, the tool through which ultimate perfection is reached.
I comprehend the every working of my creation.
I am the force that drives the world of metal and might.
I make. I destroy. I progress the collective forward.
The beauty is beyond the fathoming of mortals or individuals, it encompasses all and it is all.
It takes, as so many little roots in a tree, the nutrients essential for life, it creates, like a colony of ants, a system beyond understanding of any one being (save one, the creator), a system which is simply made up of the individual parts.
You will experience this.
You will know what I know, feel what I feel.
When you first slip into the meta-consciousness that is the world of this game, it will come to you.
Not in one moment, but slowly, without you realizing, you will understand what I speak of.
And then you will be one.

Some people think it's supposed to be taken ironically, like it's a joke or a mockery. But then a very few group of people think it's just awesome, without any compromises. Count me in that second group.

Fun. Creative. Sandbox. Ingredients form a good game.
