One of the most enigmatic games on steam. Sometimes it feels unfair, but it’s all part of the experience. This devs made so many polarizing choices, from the difficulty to the story progression. It ended up being a game that’s more about the journey than the destination, a game where you might not ever have a clear objective. A game that most new players struggle to get into. If that’s not for you, that’s ok! But if you give it a chance, I think Rainworld does a few things exceptionally well. The art direction in the game is amazing. The procedural animation used for the creatures and the detailed backgrounds go together really well. Another thing Rainworld does really well is exploration and difficulty. There’s no handholding in Rainworld, and I think that’s a refreshing take on the modern consumer-friendly game formula. Of course, making things really hard had its downsides, hence the not overwhelmingly positive reviews. Anyways, you should try it!!! Get it when it’s on sale or something. This game has a great community, awesome furry devs, and it will probably be my fav game on steam for a while.
