The game crashes constantly. Will wait for some future updates and a sale with confirmation that the issue is fixed, as it is currently unplayable for me.

Edit: They fixed it. Actually playable, and honestly a fun game, I recommend going for guns locked by challenges as they are most fun to play with. I recommend buying the game when it's on sale.

The creative team at Purple Lamp have done it again with SpongeBob SquarePants: The Cosmic Shake! The game has players follow the yellow and lovable square sponge that we all know and love, in a quest to save his friends and his beloved underwater town of Bikini Bottom.

If you'd like to skip the details I provided about the game, the quick summary of the scoring is at the bottom!

STORY

In typical SpongeBob fashion, after acquiring a magic bubble blower from a mermaid named Kassandra, both SpongeBob and Patrick have some fun, causing the ensuing chaos that leads to the games story.

The story is amusing; foremost, it is both interesting and humorous, leaving nods to the show all over its fantastically built levels. Dialogue is amazing, and on point. The story never made me feel bored, keeping me engaged the entire time. It felt as SpongeBob as SpongeBob could ever feel. Hats off to Purple Lamp for the creative and fun original story!

VISUALS

Just as the remake to Battle for Bikini Bottom was stunning, Cosmic Shake takes it even more beyond that. The visuals are taken straight from the show and plastered all over the game. Each level is filled with details as well as gags that should not be missed. This has to be the most visually pleasing and stunning SpongeBob video game to date.

MECHANICS/MOVESET

The game is not super mechanical, however, there is a nice list of moves that you can do and mess around with, making it a very enjoyable experience! With newly added dodging, players can move out of the way of danger as well as use it for a slight boost in movement. You can double jump and now glide, allowing players to fall with style. There are others, but I won't spoil it. Attacking is just about the same as it was in the remake of Battle for Bikini Bottom, except with the added bonus of costumes (more on that below).

COSTUMES

THERE ARE COSTUMES, AND GOOD ONES TOO!

Yes, that is right, costumes. I can now dress as a clown and defend my underwater home! The costume selection is great, with many costumes fans can enjoy playing in, most notably, a hard-hatted war hero. Seven costumes are locked behind a "DLC" paywall, which is quite sad, but there are 35 other costumes to enjoy if you so wish not to spend money on it.

Costumes have another added feature that most might miss, while some costumes have changes and other don't, keen eyed players will notice that when attacking regularly, SpongeBob's weapon of choice changes just as well!

Even though they don't serve much purpose other than being really, really cool. Players can have fun dressing up a sponge in this great addition to the game.

BOSS BATTLES

They're fun, however, they aren't as challenging as I would have liked, and no, I don't want a Soulslike SpongeBob game (although that sounds kinda funny and I would probably play it). I just hoped that they wouldn't be as simple as dodging an attack, and within two minutes the battle would be over. I will say that some are different from others, but overall, are very easy to beat, making it feel as if there is little to no challenge in these fights.

MINIGAMES

I felt that I should add this as I've seen reviews about people disliking them. They aren't all that bad. I mean, yes, they're kinda just there. Regardless, they are still enjoyable.

LEVELS

Cosmic Shake has seven unique levels for the player to enjoy. They're each amazing and beautifully well made, leaving the player to want to explore as much as they possibly can.

OTHER

As aforementioned, the dialogue is amazing in this game; however, the lack of no auto-dialogue options/button is very much missing. Many times SpongeBob speaks and as he's cut off, the game requires the player to make an input causing a sort of weird stoppage to the pleasing dialogue that is expected to continue. The developers should take note of this and (hopefully) add it to their next game to come.

The lack of extra/more phrases is very much apparent. I must have heard three phrases over and over throughout the seven levels the game possesses. One particular phrase, "sticky sweet", not only had me and my friend laughing, but had me just as annoyed for the 100th time.

This may sound deranged, but, I wish there were more loading screens. This is the only game where I've wanted to see as many loading screens as possible. They are perfect nods to the show, directly ripped from those infamous time cards that appear in it.

Finally, those pictures. If you know, you know.

OVERALL

This is a great start to what is hopefully the beginning of new SpongeBob video games. I hope (more like pray) that Purple Lamp continues to create fun experiences for fans of the show and games alike!

Game Mechanics

Gameplay mechanics are great and work well.

Visuals

Visually pleasing to look at, my eyes never hurt once, having me glued to my screen just as I did watching the show.

Average Time To Beat The Game

Roughly 9 hours for main story.
Roughly 12 hours for 100% completion.

Pricing

Personally, I would recommend purchasing at full price, but as always I have to say, wait for discount/sale.

This game on PC sucks. The PC port is atrocious, bugs in levels making it nearly impossible to complete. Works, plays, and seems better on consoles based off of the videos I've watched on YouTube.

Do NOT buy this game on this platform, that's all I'm saying.

A fitting end to the Ezio trilogy of games within the Assassin's Creed franchise. Assassin's Creed Revelations is a short yet sweet game, showcasing Ezio, much more mature (old if you will) leaving Italy, following the steps of Altair Ibn-LaʼAhad. The game takes place primarily in the city of Constantinople. The player will take control of Ezio in order to discover and find the five keys needed to unlock a vault created by Altair Ibn-LaʼAhad.

This felt like a fitting end to Ezio's journey as a master assassin. Though the game is shorter than the first two in the trilogy it is still a fun experience that caused me to roam around it's new terrain quite a bit. The game is more primarily focused on the story. The ending alone, in my opinion, makes it worth playing the game.

Assassin's Creed Brotherhood, a continuation of Ezio Auditore's adventures as an assassin, throws the player into even more action as the Templars are continuing to plot and take control of Renaissance Italy. Find others to join the creed to help you defeat the Templars and save Italy.

I enjoyed my experience playing Assassin's Creed Brotherhood. There were some flaws/bugs that I encountered; however, it was still a playable and enjoyable experience. The crossbow and other gadgets are great additions to the arsenal of the master assassin. Play this game, not only for the fun experience, but because it's Ezio Auditore, truly one of the best assassins.

Set in the Italian Renaissance, Assassin's Creed 2 takes the player on a journey as a man named Ezio Auditore da Firenze. Conspiracy takes place which forces the player to traverse a new terrain, and wield weapons to defend against a group known only as the Templars. The player must now experience what it means to be an assassin while making a few friends along the way.

I really enjoyed this game. Ezio is an amazing character. The people you meet along the way are very interesting. The terrain is exciting. I spent hours just jumping from rooftops and assassinating whom ever I wished (I went rogue for a bit). The story is very good. All in all, a great experience and a must play.

Revisiting Assassin's Creed, the original to the series that we all know (and somewhat love) today. I realize that it's still a fun yet daunting experience. It is clunky and slow compared to it's sequels and quite repetitive towards the end. However, it is an enjoyable time, playing as an assassin, named Altair who is instructed to end the Templars' plot. Navigating different terrain, and using multiple weapons at your disposal. There is much to see, and much to do.

This game is great. The price of this is also great. The game is much more fun than the first, +great.

Basically what I'm saying is this game features a Russian woman named Natalya who has jiggly bozonkabonks and that pretty much makes this game worth every penny.
