Absolut geiles Spiel, Dämonen abschlachten zu guter Musik? Ich sag ja!

Well well well, finally one of the best, if not to say the best story-based game got a remake with that definitive edition. I was very pumped to play that and hopefuly get again a masterpiece to play. I am a huge fan of the original game.

Overall it is a good remake, some things are phenomenal and other this are very frustrating, that they didn't include it.
What I like the most are the cars, the driving mechanics (clutch and manually shifting including, hell yeah!) you can feel how each car handles better or worse. The graphics are beatiful and the cutscenes are from the graphics standpoint very good.

Some things however I really don't like. Many little things could have made a huge difference and would have been so easy to achieve a much better atmosphere, and that annoys me so much!
First: Music, why didn't they used some of the original gun fighting orchestral music or some cutscene music like night psycho or briefing bad in cutscenes? I even tabbed out and played it in the background on youtube to get the feeling and it was such a much better atmosphere only by that. Also, last mission, Tom kills Sam, an dlike in the OG after he fires, play the damn main theme, why not?
Many things got cut out, lucas bertone, one armed pete, some things between missions. Salieris bar doesn't feel like home before, because you start your missions very few times there, Ralph doesn't give you cars anymore (only one time) and vincenzo is now also just a rude noname.
Some minor bad things: Bullets and clips don't stay on the floor, which I liked so much in the original. Gunplay is weird but ok.
Don't get me wrong, the game is beautiful and playable and also worth it. But they could have achieved much more and better if they would have implemented some small things.

Edit: The moral of the ending scene is also different and I like the moralstory of the original way better...

Best Storygame ever made, I've never seen so much love for details. Played this game since I was a little kid.

Well done! That is truly a masterpiece with some negative points. But that atmosphere is excellent, holy s*it! The last chapter is better made than many AAA movies. I hope to see some more...

That's a very good, entertaining videogame. Special effects and story are nice. BUT only playable when you delet the black bars. 8/10

Hervorragendes Spiel! Absolut in sich stimmig. Die Kämpfe sind gut abgestimmt und niemals langweilig. Am liebsten hätte ich noch 50 Stunden mehr Story gespielt, ich hoffe auf eine Fortsetzung. Grafik sieht gut bis sehr gut aus. Die Inszenierung der Orks sind unübertrefflich, sowohl deren Geräuschekulissen, sowie die Auftritte sind absolut famos!

Ich brauche mehr!
