This is the final word in grand strategy for me. The ones that focus on a """historical""" setting are boring and bland, besides we have no idea what history is before 200 years ago and I staunchly support the notion that there were in fact giants, dragons and witches as described in first-hand accounts from those days. In a sense Warhammer is more historical than the "historical" games.

As with most games you just have to wait 2 years post release to really play it.

If you racked up a bunch of the previous factions to play in Immortal Empires, they mostly got reworked as well. Updating factions that released a decade ago to still be enjoyable and viable in the newer game is a nice touch, you wouldn't expect an update for something you bought ten years ago from many games.

This game is gargantuan, I don't even know how many units and mechanics there are between the 96 factions in the game but it's a massive amount.

The game might seem like it has a steep price until you try buying a single tabletop army. You're fine buying nothing but the base game. DLC is just so you can play as a different flavor with different mechanics and different units.

After buying everything you'll have such a massively vast game that I don't feel the price is anything to complain about.

Even a game made by three people needs HEAVY censorship these days... It is sad what online gaming has become. I don't use chat or voice chat at all because the moderation team hands out bans at random.

The glory days of old shooter lobbies filled with people yelling whatever they want at each other are no more. Not even here. Prepare to only hear people pretending to be a monkey or moaning into their mics because any real word said gets you banned forever.
