www.UKDota.net Winterval Tournament
When?
Sunday 23rd December, Early evening.
Rules?
All players must be signed up via a post in this thread[www.ukdota.net] , the thread will be locked on Friday the 21st and no alterations to rosters will be allowed without admin permission.
Using professional players as stand-ins is strictly barred (Danny).
Each team must have 3/5 UK or Ire Residents.
Each team must be in the lobby 15 minutes after game scheduled time.
The games may be played with Spectators on but players will not be allowed to spectate as broadcasters due to "ghosting".
The Tournament will be Double Elimination, best of one games, until the finals, which will be best of three, upper bracket advantage.
The head Admin of this tournament is Rabbit.
Coverage
As with the previous Fragging Rights tournament, main coverage will be provided by Rabbit, other casters are more than welcome to apply to cast.
Players will be able to stream their games, with a two minute delay.
Prizes?
Again we're without anything for you, sadly garnering interest in a niche online tournament is difficult, view it as a practice for the upcoming 2013 LANs?
Sign ups are being accepted as of now and will be closed Friday the 21st of December.

Team Infused are pleased to announce a new all British DotA 2 team that will be joining the organisation. The team have already signed up for the ASUS and Defense 3 Qualifier.

As for LAN events, the team will be attending Epic LAN and GamerBase LAN in January and February as well as trying to qualify for the Thor Open to qualify for the Swedish LAN.



The team was formed in June 2012 when Dan 'DannyD' Woodhouse wanted to play DotA 2 competitively, he acquired the other members from pubs, Reddit and joinDota.

Currently, Dan 'DannyD' Woodhouse is the squad's manager as well as player whereas Laurence 'Lozarian' Powell is the team's in-game captain. A quote from DannyD can be found below.

About The Team

The team was formed around in June 2012 when Danny decided he wanted to take the game competitive. He found all the members via Pubs, Reddit, and joinDota and some JD tourneys. The team has been together for around 3 or 4 months now and are really positive for what the future holds for us, with the right support of a British Organisation we feel we can go really far. Danny deals with all the out of game organising - communicating with sponsors, getting rosters on cup sites, while Loz is the in-game captain, calling plays and doing the drafts. A good team requires good chemistry, and we're all very good friends both in and out of game which helps us to work together, and talk through games - both the good and the bad. Thanks to this, whilst we're a relatively new team, our co-ordination and teamwork has increased exponentially in the short period we've played together, and we're aiming high. We're an approachable lot, and will carry ourselves with the good grace that befits a professional team, both in and out of game. Outside of tournaments, Loz can and likely will be streaming games, organising more pubstomps and making a noise, while Danny has helped mentor some UK beginners of the UK in-house group which went on for a while and is now quite good mates with the people he met there. Danny is also head esportsheaven admin on Dota 2 and is organising some tourneys for them at the moment. As a fully British team the timing issues that have hurt some teams should not be an issue, and we will go strong for a long time. We're a young (ish - we're 19-26), enthusiastic and committed team, and watch out for future successes.

Where do I begin , after being with HoNPortal for 9 months we felt it was time to move on to better things.So once I applied to infused and had postitve feedback from it, was clear from both parties we wanted to work with infused and we are so gratefull to be given this opportunity.We will be attending Gamersbase and Epic Lan , and I would like to give a shoutout to Infused sponsers as well as the players who stood in for us during these 9 Months, espeically astonL, shu and w'll.

DotaTalk UK Lan Cup

DotaTalk will be hosting its first ever TUPAmateur LAN tournament in the UK, dubbed the UK Amateur Cup. Playing at GamersBase, Picadilly Circus in London on the 19th of January 2013, prizes will include :
1st place - 5 SteelSeries Dota 2 bundles + 5 7h headphones
2nd place - To Be Announced (Sponsored by Spire Corp)
3rd place - DFX Powerball Gamers edition
The UK Cup will start off with group stages of 10 teams divided into 2 groups, where the top teams of each group will move on to the winner bracket finals and play a best-of-3 round, while the 1st runner ups from each group will be playing in the loser bracket finals for a best-of-1 bout. The winner of the winners bracket will advance to the Grand Finals, while the loser will face the winner of the loser brackets final.
This event will be covered by DotaTalk and casted by Luminous and Durkadurka. Scheduled to start at 10.30am, teams will be allowed to use the PCs from as early as 9:00am-11:45pm, even if they are knocked out. Lunch will be provided for the players. There are only 10 slots available, so do register as soon as possible!
