We've been playing CS since it was originally a Half-Life mod back in 1999. That was four years before Steam existed!

The name "Sell My Girlfriend" came from a friend who had gotten very frustrated with his girlfriend. He said, "I need to get rid of her! Anyone want to buy her? I'm looking to sell my girlfriend!" Then we put together a fake auction website where people could upload pictures of themselves and see how much they would go for, kind of like Hot Or Not.
