Praise be to our Holy Father, who guides us through the Shadow of Darkness, and leads to Glorious Victory!

The Holy Papacy of Tamriel is a structured group designed for all those who enjoy the lore, gameplay, or any other aspects of the Elder Scrolls series! While mostly being created as a guild and/or loose coalition for the upcoming The Elder Scrolls: Online, we also encourage and, frankly, love the previous instalments of the series.

The PoT has an easy to follow, and easy to participate in hierachy that makes it simple for even the lowest members to become important.

Now, for an explanation!
At the very top of the Holy Church is the Pope, of course (The Player of the Week).
Under the Pope is 7 Cardinals who each, at the end of the month, choose a new Pope. They are responsible for democratically voting on each issue the group faces, to ban other cardinals, and for schedualing mass events, raids, ect. All issues require a majority vote. The Pope CAN override a decision.
Next would be the bishops, who are represented as moderators. They are responsible for banning unruly players, and other minor issues that do not require a vote.
At the very bottom are the Priests. which are the rest of the members of the group. They are responsible for recruiting new members and carrying out daily functions in the group (Carrying out raids, selling indulgences, ect. ect.).

The Papacy is designed that, as long as the Cardinals vote them in, anyone can be a Pope. However, an untrustworthy Pope can be excommunicated, and kicked out of the office by a landslide vote.
