Welcome to the Official Steam Group of TASK FORCE TOMAHAWK, which is an Arma III Realism Unit, our missions statement is as follows:

The Mission of Task Force Tomahawk is to maintain an ARMA III gaming community tasked with simulating a US Armed Forces environment through use of tactics, structure, and codes of conduct. The higher objective of which is to create an environment which is conducive to allow growth of its members mentally in teamwork, leadership, and morality.

Echo Company, 506th IR, 101st AB

The 506th Infantry Regiment is our main infantry detachment in TASK FORCE TOMAHAWK, originally designated the 506th Parachute Infantry Regiment (506th PIR) during World War II, is an airborne light infantry regiment of the United States Army. Currently a parent regiment under the U.S. Army Regimental System, the regiment has two active battalions: the 1st Battalion, 506th Infantry Regiment (1-506th) is assigned to the 1st Brigade Combat Team, 101st Airborne Division, and the 2nd Battalion, 506th Infantry Regiment (2-506th) is assigned to the 3rd Brigade Combat Team, 101st Airborne Division.

The regiment served with the 101st Airborne Division in World War II. Regimental elements have served with the 101st in Vietnam, Iraq, and Afghanistan. Regimental elements have also served in peacetime with the 2nd Infantry Division, and deployed to Operation Iraqi Freedom. The regiment’s Company E (“Easy Company”) actions during World War II were featured in the 2001 HBO miniseries Band of Brothers.

Alpha Company, 1st MRB

The 1st Marine Raider Battalion (1st MRB) is our Special Forces detachment, designed to handle tasks deemed too sensitive for the main infantry force. It is a special operations unit of the United States Marine Corps and a subordinate combat component of the Marine Corps Special Operations Command. The Battalions’s organization was finalized in 2006 and is one of three battalions of the Marine Raider Regiment.

1st Battalion, 160th SOAR

The United States Army 160th Special Operations Aviation Regiment (Airborne), abbreviated as the 160th SOAR (A) and also known as Night Stalkers, is our air combat element for TASK FORCE TOMAHAWK. It is a special operations force of the United States Army that provides helicopter aviation support for general purpose forces and special operations forces, as well as transport for the main infantry element.

Its missions have included attack, assault, and reconnaissance, and are usually conducted at night, at high speeds, low altitudes, and on short notice. The 160th SOAR is headquartered at Fort Campbell, Kentucky.
