Syriac

Assyrian people or Syriacs are an ethnic group indigenous to the northern parts of the Middle East as well as the southern part of Anatolia. They speak East Aramaic languages as well as the dominant languages in their countries of residence. The Assyrians are typically Christians who claim descent from the ancient empire of Assyria.
