St. Gabens Day Gift Exchange

-What is St. Gaben’s Day-

Back in 2014, four friends set out to add a little extra generosity and fun to the holiday season. They decided on a small gift exchange timed with the Steam Winter Sale, sending each other games and good cheer. What began as a simple idea quickly grew into a cherished annual tradition celebrated on December 22nd—affectionately known as “the eve before the eve before the eve.” Now, more than a decade later, St. Gaben’s Day has seen over 100 games exchanged and continues to bring both old and new friends together each year in the true spirit of play, surprise, and goodwill.


-How It Works-

Participants take part in a Secret Santa–style gift exchange.

Each person is randomly assigned another participant and on December 22nd, gifts them one or more games from their Steam wishlist.

The spending limit is set at $20, keeping the tradition simple, fun, and focused on the joy of surprising a fellow gamer during the Steam Winter Sale.
