Ira Venatoris - "Wrath of the Hunter"
In the beginning of TF history (all the way back in 1996), there were few TF clans compared to the hundreds today. One of the most well known and respected of the time was Ira Venatoris (IV), whose original members included such future community dignitaries as Gibkeeg, DrSmooth, RUiNER, Pon+iff, and many members of today's Snow Crash.

The Splinters, and the Birth of Snow Crash
As TF gained in popularity, IV began to expand its roster - to bring in new talented players, as well as keep these players off of the few opposing clans' rosters. Soon IV began to grow too large for its own good, and three factions formed, each with their own visions and leaders. Snow Crash, Burning Chrome, and the Cult of Deceit attempted to operate under the IV banner until one day evolution took its course. In March of 1997, Ira Venatoris shattered under shifting leadership; Burning Chrome dissolved and some of its members formed the high profile clan The Fifth Element
