Hello again, Skinners.

The news will be on a fortnightly update schedule now, as there hasn't been a whole lot to report each week.

New members

Welcoming new members Majinboy and 007Blox. We hope they enjoy their time here.

Railway network

Major works will begin this weekly on the railway network across the state, starting with the main Snakeskin town. The network should still operate, however they may be times where a small section is down temporarily.

A working prototype of Grand Central has been built and approved in the Build world and will be added in the main world soon, where the current Trading Post is. Suggestions for both North and South stations, as well as New Cliffton, are welcome.

First and foremost, the railway lines will be expanded, with a double rail line overground throughout the town, and two double rail underground lines below it.

This will be a major undertaking and we are calling upon all players to assist.

Biome changes

I've made some changes to the biomes around Snakeskin town itself. It should look a lot tidier and make a little more sense.

Spleef Tournament

Weirdly enough, we've had no interest at all in the planned tournament. As a result, it will be on hold until we feel applicants are interested.

Secret project

We are hoping to reveal the secret project very soon. It is finally nearing completion.

A fairly small update this week, but with some potential big changes.

Donations

We are now accepting donations from kind fellows. There's a bunch of rewards in place too. Any donation is helpful and will go directly towards server operation costs. In future, if the community becomes very active, I shall host the server externally, with a professional provider.

Snakeskin Metropolitan Rail Plans

After reviewing the current Network Rail system, Tim (QuasiBelgium) has provided a fresh plan for making the current system far more efficient.

More detail is available via Books that have been distributed to all Network Rail members in-game.
I shall provide a little overview here:
Creates three continuous lines across the entire map: Snakeskin-Stadium, Snakeskin-Westlands, and Los Airgeles-Old Cliffton, with a shuttle service to Castletown from New Cliffton.
The tracks around Snakeskin Town will remain, but will be doubled up allowing for travel to and from on separate lines. At this point, we have agreed to to use the Old Central station and simply use the Current Central station (on Main Street) and end point. New Cliffton also acts as a secondary hub, with both North and South Snakeskin Stations retaining their hub-like status too.

I would also like to put forward my suggestion for renaming the railroad network: Snakeskin Metropolitan Area Rail Transit System, aka S.M.A.R.T.S.
