Become the Shogun

ello mates im here to join....and crush many of you...that is if my men can fight if not i will haunt you for 1000 years

hellou boys I am from croatia and I want to crush some bones on battlefield :) hh I am relatively new in MP but I know to play...

At the moment I have in my army as 2 yari cavalry, 3 samurai archers, 4 katana samurai, and 3 yari samurai. I've been debating if I should get rid of one of the bow units and put all veteran yari and katana samurai. I can't decide so I thought maybe you guys could offer a suggestion.

I will try that...... that is whenever the matchmaking thing starts working again lol

haha, well here is my suggestion. For some reason it has come to some peoples minds that having fewer better units ALWAYS beats more units. While true in some cases it doesnt always work. Neither does the other. So what you need to do is have a few units for cannon fodder and your elite units held in reserve. For example, have your spear ashigaru hold a line against their katana samurai and have your own samurai reach them at their flank. Its a classic strategy of diverting their attention to your weaker units slaughtering their units from the flanks with minimal casualties on your side. This destroys not only your opponents numbers but also their morale. I often lose a lot of expendable troops to walk away with a victory by routing the enemy.
