We Want Reflection in the Right Direction

On February 7th, 2014, Valve released a patch for Team Fortress 2 which included in its patchnotes the change, "Fixed deflected projectiles not affecting Strange and Killstreak counts". While this change did correct the Strange and Killstreak counters, it also had the side-effect of ruining the lives of Pyros everywhere.

Here's What It Did

1. Reflected projectiles now frequently shoot in random directions (and can include about facing on the Pyro themselves) when the reflecting Pyro is clipping with a teammate or team building - this has also been seen even when the Pyro is in an environment where clipping with a friendly person/building is impossible, such as during MGE.

2. Reflected projectiles now detonate upon hitting teammates and team buildings in close proximity to the Pyro.

3. Pyros now take what is akin to minicrit self-damage from reflected projectiles; which means, for example, a Pyro will take more damage from a reflected grenade than they would had they not reflected it (they also don't receive the self-damage reduction a Soldier or Demoman would see the same situation). Also, let's not forget that Pyros everywhere now get a random chance to do over double normal damage to themselves upon reflecting the Loose Cannon. EDIT - ROCKET REFLECTS FIXED JUNE 11, 2014; GRENADE AND SENTRY ROCKET REFLECTS STILL CAUSE MINI-CRIT SELF-DAMAGE

4. Reflect sound bug - supposedly fixed June 11, 2014 -sadly it's been fixed for stock flamethrower and its reskins only.

What We Need to Do to Get It Fixed

Pyros, it's time to take charge. Fasten your Brigade Helms, dust off your Beanies, and feed your Birdcages, because FixUs needs your demos, clips, and VODs in which any of the above occur. Just send it to [email protected] and be sure to include your Steam ID, your preferred alias, and any necessary bookmarks - and then we'll take it from there. Also, be sure to tell your fellow Pyros and your Pyro-friendly friends about our mission and invite them to join us here. Together we can correct this outrage or at least burn out the world trying.

tl; dr: SEND YOUR CLIPS OF THIS BUG (made after the June 11, 2014 patch) TO US ([email protected]) with Steam ID, your name, and any needed bookmarks)

demos sticks are back to full strength but our axting is still nerfed

Now i'm sometimes faced with a decision, whether to suicide for the team when a pipe falls nearby, or to allow them to take 50 or something damage.
