From now on we will be setting out goals, which when achieved we will be giving away skins on Counter-Strike: Global Offensive. To be in with the chance of winning, all you have to do is reply to this post with a comment (and obviously be in the Steam group), and once we hit 750 group members a random winner will be selected.

Now... Most communities usually purchase a knife in this aspect and just give it away, however what we're going to do is a little different. We are going to provide a budget to the winner in which they can purchase any skins they want up to the budget whether it be a knife or a cheeky selection of skins to update their inventory with.

The first budget for this competition will be £75!

So get inviting your friends to the group and the winner will be announced as soon as we reach our goal!

Yesterday I ordered a server upgrade to fix some of the issues we are having with performance since switching providers.

A lot of the issues are primarily with network but as for some of it, it was due to the processor we were using on our servers. When ordering the server at the time I primarily just wanted as little downtime as possible, so I carelessly purchased a server that wasn't very optimized for hosting game servers.

After a discussion with our hosts, tonight @ 22:30PM GMT, our main 'universe' server will be going down for an estimated 20-30 minutes in order to upgrade our server with better hardware. Now, rest assured, no content from our current server will be lost. All that will be happening is our data drive will be moved over to a better server rather than replacing the hardware, so all should be good on that front and the servers should be back up with no problems.

I personally apologize for the inconveniences caused by this downtime and also by the poor server performance up until now, but we are still in a settling in phase at our new host, although they have been super helpful.

I will keep this thread updated regarding when the downtime is happening and when it will be back up, as well as with (god forbid) details for if anything goes wrong.

Hello there guys! So yesterday I posted an announcement regarding the server and why it kept going down. However I am posting this short and snappy update to let you guys know that the servers we have moved to are now DDoS protected, which initially means no more server downtime!

I spent all of last night and this morning migrating the data from our old server (which served us well for a good half a month considering we were under attack) to our new server!

Please note that NO data was lost in the transferring of the files. So all of your ranks, times and all bans executed on the old server are still in full effect!

Now if you have the Surf Server added to your favorites, if you hit that refresh button or haven't loaded up the community browser yet, then just hit it and it should automatically link you to the new server we have up, however if you are still seeing the old one (which is now renamed to let everybody who can see it know that we have moved servers), then you can connect efficiently through our new server IP.

So to do this what you need to do is the following;

1) Open up your "Console" key (typically the "`" key which is located next to the number "1" on any traditional, English/United States based keyboard.

2) Type in console "connect universe.glorified.eu" (without the quotation marks).

3) Hit your "Enter" key.

And that's pretty much it! You'll be straight in then!

For those of you that are interested in knowing just the server IP it is posted below.

But that's pretty much it! As far as other updates, we will be setting up an Arena server in the very near future as well as the tier 2-3 and 4-6 surf servers, so keep your eyes peeled for those to come if you're looking for a challenge!

So, we launched our servers not so long ago and they strived just like we planned. We had constant inbound connections from active players and we had a phenomenal environment set up for our players to chill out on and surf.

Due to recent events in the past weeks, we've be subject to various "DDoS" attacks, however that is all about to change.

From tomorrow, when I release and route the old IP to our new game server, we should be immune to the majority, if not all future attacks to come on our new 600Gbp/s burst protected infrastracture.

This announcement is being posted to inform you guys on what's happening as we've had this planned for a while, but spending hundreds on multiple servers each month and waiting for server setups is just an absolute nightmare from my end, as you can possibly imagine.

Some of you may be wondering "but wait, my ranks and times?!?!?!?!??!!"... Well they will all be transferred over to the new server so you don't have to worry about any of that. All databases will be ported over along with all server files, as well as the release (finally) of our new store system we are implementing.

As an apology for everything that's happened over the past few weeks on our end (although most of it was out of our hands), we are going to be crediting every user that connects over the next week a base of 500 credits to use as a standard in our new store!

We also added an advert to the server that plays for everybody once each time the map loads to assist us in helping to pay for the servers a bit, so if you hear that we apologize but running servers isn't cheap and it would be nice to get a little bit back to pay for these expensive server bills!

That's pretty much it for now, but we'll keep you posted on the server development progress over time and more information will be released soon regarding when the new server will be accessible.

Hello there, fellow Glorified Gaming members. Today we have a few things to get through regarding what's going on with the community in its whole as well as what we have planned for you in the near and distant future.

Let's get right down to business, shall we?

First on our list is in regards to why this is all happening. We have a new addition to the community in terms of Community Leadership. I personally would like to welcome my good friend, Tristan into the role! He will be leading the Counter-Strike: Global Offensive division alongside myself and a few other community leaders in order to hit peak within the gaming community once more.

There once was a time that we were peaking higher than a lot of the biggest communities out there, until one particular person tried to void that, and since things got left in a state of decay. We believe that with this new addition as well as all of the efforts that is yet to come, we can once again be prestigious and what we once were, so have faith!

Secondly, we have decided with this recent change that we are going to focus on becoming the top server provider on the scene of the UK and Western Europe region, before branching out inernationally. This means our servers for the most-part of our members will offer extremely low latency in regards to most of our users as a lot of our members reside within the UK itself.

Moving on, we also plan to release one of our servers later this evening which will be the start of a new Era, so an announcement will be made then with details on how you can access said server and become a part of something truly unfathomable.
