The new racing experience

Project Vega is a F2T racing game which is based on ideas from the first and second Need For Speed: Underground. At the minute the project is still young, the final name is still yet to be decided. The game is currently in the pre-alpha version (Recent build - v15). New features are constantly being added along with each build. Eventually we plan to have a mix of 10 tracks based in different locations, and 15 playable cars with advanced AI for alpha release. The game is mainly based from the Unity3D Engine, but the physics for the cars are implemented from Edy’s Vehicle Physics. Overall, for the game play in general, it's sort-of the style of Need For Speed with several differences that make the game unique in its own. The cars are not based off an arcade style, but they are not like those in a simulator, kind of a play on both with superb realism thrown in for the best possible effect. We are working on the graphics, and eventually plan to roughly have those similar or better than Dirt 2. We just want to make a racing game for people who actually enjoy racing, not full of cops and supercars like the current Need For Speed, which kind-of takes away from the original racing aspect. When the game reaches Beta status, we are going to post it on the Steam Green Light. So have a go and test it out early, let us know what you think, all feedback is appreciated.
