Vae Victus

For all members of the Senatus Populusque Romanus (.:Roman:.) or of the true roman people, the Praetorian Guards are the elite within the legions of SPQR. All members may ask for positions, by leaving comments.

The Praetorian's were the elite within the Roman army. They acted as the emperors bodyguards and as the police for the city of Rome. The Praetorian Legions role is to back up the legions of SPQR and give much needed expertise in battle. The guard played an intergral part in both the choosing and assasinating of Emperor's in the Late Roman Empire. Most famously was when they proclaimed Claudius Emperor after they assasinated Caligula.
