Considerable progress was made in like, the last 10 minutes of last nights hour+ long brainstorm session.

Yeah, I think it's best not to use any of the available emblems as a basis for our guild name because of the fact that they will most definitely add more in the future,. That way, we're not stuck with a really specific name that would not match a new emblem.

Lodge works for me, although I personally think we could also use something else that is similar to it. But, if everyone is cool with Lodge then I am too. The main one we should be worrying about is what goes before it. I was the one that suggested that "Adventurer's" is too broad/general. I think the best way to come up with a good name is for all of us to brainstorm it together so we can come up with something that we're all satisfied with. So let's put our butts and brains together~

It's been suggested not to base the name on our choice of emblem, as when they add more we may find one too sweet not to use. So Griffon Lodge, as I had initially suggested, doesn't work. Adventurer's Lodge has been deemed too general, as I think we all want to be fairly active in WvW and Adventurer's Lodge sounds more like a PvE focused group. Likewise anything too far in the opposite direction doesn't work that well either.

So as far as the guild name is concerned, the naming convention has already been bandied around a bit and I think we're fairly happy with "lodge" (ie, Griffon Lodge, Log Lodge, or Adventurer's Lodge) for what it conveys. A place for friendly fighters and explorers to gather and discuss their latest adventures over a FINE BROWN ALE. We seem to be slightly stuck on what comes before that (and not stuck with Lodge if it's met with poor reception). I thought it'd be useful to hear what anyone who actually reads this has to say since it's going to be your guild as much as anyone else's and who wants to be in a guild called the Butt Lodge when you really wanted to be in the Ass Lodge?
