It's that time again!

On saturday sept 3rd, PL6 will be hosting the inaugural Shotgun Heavy Event as well as the SMG War 3. Only PL6 Regulars will be eligible to join this event (List of players below). The event starts at 9pm and will be played on pl_upward for 2 rounds as heavy and 2 rounds as snipers. Winners will be decided based on kills made OVERALL.

There will be prizes for the top 5 and ALL participants for the event will recieve a free random drop. But wait! there's more! /hearts will once again be the sniper boss for a few minutes during the event while Zheming will be the heavy boss. The person who takes them down will get a special prize.

The event will be on a first come first join basis. There will be no slot reservations. The server will be password protected on the day of the event.

The event will take place at 9pm, Sunday, in Starhub Server #7.

Rules:
1. You will only use sniper

2. You can only use secondary and melee weapons. Any combination is fine.

3. The game will have 5 rounds, as per pl_upward in server 6

4. There will be 2 warm-up rounds, for us to brief you all and let you guys get the hang of it.

5. Don't be a ♥♥♥♥. pip and mom will be the gamemasters and we will be watching. Fail to follow the rules, and you will be given a warning; repeated offenders: I will stick my foot so deep in your ass that that lump in your throat will be my toes. And then you can wave good-bye to your credibility in pl6 community.

6. Pip and mom will be engineers. We will provide dispensers and teleporters for our team. Red teams will be given a dispenser and teleporter. Blu will not have dispenser or teleporters. We won't interfere with combat and would like combat to not interfere with us too.

7. Obey. When we say melee only, please cooperate :) There will be minigames with prizes in the game, and your cooperation will be needed.

8. How to win: The top 3 prizes are given to the the top 3 scorers at the end of the final round. The winner of each mini-game will be given a prize.

9. The minigames consist of boss fights, of which the first two is a DECAHEAVY. Decaheavies will always be on RED. In this minigame, one heavy will be selected, and the other 10 members will be his "tentacles" per se. Some rules:
a) Medics cant heal each other or take health packs
b) Once dead, the medic shall change back to sniper
c) Heavies can heal their medics by throwing sandwiches
d) However, he cannot take a health pack to replenish his sandwich
e) both uber and kritz are allowed.
To make it fair to BLU, they will be allowed a single kritz medic.

10. The 2 minibosses will be snipers! They are Zheming and Saph. They are allowed to snipe when you are not, eliminate them for a shiny prize!

11. The 5th and final round is a katana match, with a twist! Pyros will vault up opposing soldiers/demos into the air where they will do battle. This battle will be performed in an elimination manner, with the last man standing winning the prize. You'd better pray to lady luck before you start!

12. You have to download a file for our tournament mod to work. It is only 10mbs. You can find it at:

Download the upwards.nav and place it in the maps file.

13. This event is first come, first serve. So be on time!

Thank you, one and all, for participating this this year's smg wars! We saw some great feats and some pretty dumb ones. But all in all it was great fun! Here is the mandatory 'thank you' list:

Hammifer: for letting us use the server and modding it for this purpoe. The horsemann wouldn't have been possible without his help!

Sifu: For his technical expertise and time spent as the sad, sad engineer. He had graciously agreed to help with this expert and hence losing his chance at participating. Also helped much with playtesting and troubleshooting.

Ah Kidz: Though he wasn't here, he donated 3 hats for this event, which I took the liberty to convert to newer, shinier toys.

Pip: A supporter of this idea from the beginning. He helped formulate and troubleshooting in the early stages. Though his physical shell is enjoying itself in korea, he is spiritually here.

/hearts: For helping me playtest the map and reaction to the headless horsemann when I spawned it during the test.

hb: For his Magistrate's Mullet, which made a good bonus prize for Baby Shawn!

Everyone else: For particpating and making this event even possible in the first place :)
