Greetings!

As you may already know, PAYDAY 2's development cycle has come to an end with this year's CrimeFest event. Which means that, from now on, players will slowly move away from PAYDAY 2 as other titles are released, and PD2Tools's relevance and usefulness will inevitably have the same fate.

With that in mind, I've decided to stop supporting PD2Tools after January 2019. The maintenance cost is just too much (~U$500/year) to justify keeping it up giving these circumstances.

I also find it very unlikely that I could raise enough money from the community to pay for another year, and I don't really feel like giving away all the work I put on the site for free.

Therefore, I'd like to thank everyone who supported this site during these 3 or so years. It has been a fun project to work on and I hope it was of some use to you during your heisting years.

If you still miss DLC codes (mainly masks), join the group chat for a chance at getting one. I'll give away all my remaining codes in the upcoming weeks.

Steam has pushed a Discord-like update to their chat system week or so ago so I decided to use it rather than create and manage a Discord server. I'll check on this chat room often in case anybody has any questions/suggestions for the site, and I'll also do giveaways for DLC/Mask codes as I often did in the official hub forums.

Hello everyone,

I've finally brought the mod up to date with BLT v2. The new version of the PD2Tools mod can be downloaded from: http://paydaymods.com/mods/373/pd2tools

Changes:

• Changed the mod name to reflect the site name change
  
• Removed BeardLib dependency
  
• The loadout list can now be scrolled
  
• Less UI clutter: the icon is now displayed next to the profile boxes, rather than in a big box at the bottom of the first column.

Hello everyone,

I'm glad to announce that PD2Tools is now being hosted on a faster and better server overall, which should reduce loading times by a lot and allow more concurrent users experimenting with builds.

Besides this important improvement, I've also renewed both domains for one more year and fixed a few bugs that were reported on the group.

Finally, I've added a new treat which should give you one more reason to use the site: a loadout contest. To participate, just create a loadout and click the "Contest" icon on the Save/Share tab. The first user to fully guess the secret loadout wins the grand prize. Users also have a small chance at getting a random prize whenever they submit a new entry.

Rules:

I reserve the right to declare anyone not eligible to receive a prize if I find evidence of any action that goes against what I consider to be the spirit of the contest. The rules below should give you a good idea of how to take part in the competition. If you have any questions, feel free to contact me through the PD2Tools Steam group.

• You must wait 24hrs before submitting a new entry.
  
• You may collaborate with other players to find the solution, but only one winner will be awarded.
  
• Make sure you get all the information you need before hiding this window; it will only be available again after 24hrs.
  
• Do not try do circumvent the system, e.g.: using alts, bots, scripts, etc.
  
• Users with cheated stats/progression are not eligible to receive the main prize.

Tips:

A few guidelines to help you succeed can be found below.

• Use the score results to make a better guess next time.
  
• Leave no skill points remaining.
  
• The weapons may have any number of mods attached.
  
• The perk deck, primary, secondary, melee, throwable, armor and deployable(s) are never empty.
  
• Skills and weapons having synergies is not a guarantee.

Hello everyone,

With the huge influx of new players as of June 8th's PAYDAY 2 free purchase event, the site has experienced a +300% increase in traffic, which severely hindered its ability to serve content on a timely fashion to all visitors. A hosting upgrade is not only recommended but required at this points, so I decided to create -- with an OK from OVERKILL -- a Patreon site to fund the site moving forward.

There are a bunch of things I've put in the development roadmap but never got the time to do them so, besides getting the site back to 100% functionality, having some sort of funding would make it more easily to allocate time to spend on it, not to mention keep hosting more events and giveaways as I've been doing for the past three months.

A few small rewards/perks are also to be given to those who contribute, therefore consider becoming a patron if you like the site and support its goal. I wish I could offer bigger and more varied rewards, but I really don't want to create a paywall by adding patron-exclusive features to the site.

If you do not feel like contributing through Patreon, consider disabling any ad blockers in your browser while visiting it. There's a maximum of 1 (one) ad per page and I try to put them in visible but non-intrusive locations. Or, make sure let your PD2 crew/friends know about it privately -- mouth to mouth recommendation is the best advertisement a site can get.
