ABOUT Oasis Party

Goofy Harmony

The Blacklake Oasis Party is a gate-kept sfw, self-improvement and emotional support group for adult English-literate men who want a break from family. This is a chapter guild that derives it's identity in part from it's enthusiasm and core values. We are enthusiasts of shmup music, Garry's Mod, Touhou, lite-mecha, retro, co-op questing, guild halls, colorful high fantasy, grim dark fantasy, and niche-punk genres. Blacklake values critical thinking, personal responsibility, preferences, in-game conflict, social consequence, social skills, gratefulness, teamwork, awareness, teaching, fun, privacy, and cyber-security. The theme is sunlight and fog.

The associated games are in the spirit of this community.

Our intentions as a community are to:

0. Group up, have fun, and stay in touch, without the use of mainstream voip.
1. Stay old school, love nostalgia, fund indie, reward creativity, and develop gambling awareness.
2. Never ask for time from a guild member's weekend and avoid asking for 9 hours from a week.
3. Escape from socioeconomic status hierarchy; enjoy alternative status and hobby merit.
4. Maintain a free-to-play/ budget hobby space prioritizing mini-pcs and laptops.
5. Teach the use of rice cookers, bread machines, crock pots, and pressure cookers.
6. Support knowledge of sleep, trust, individualism, and celebration as an axiomatic education.
7. Prepare for and celebrate anime-vrmmorpgs as a motivation for self-improvement.
8. Improve cognitive reserve and learn to delay gratification.
9. Normalize social boundaries home to cyber-security and anonymity.

These intentions are meant to solve the following problems:

0. Commiseration
1. Early decline from bad friendships, obesity, dementia, or cancer.
2. Not having enough money to afford mutual interest.
3. Not having enough time for personal growth.
4. Lack of foundation in education.
5. Unrejected excessive illiterate stoicism.
6. Small talk consisting of requests for private information.
7. Difference in schedule.
8. Inaccessibility because of low-performance games.
9. Guild progression fomo.
