Oculus Prime is formed!

Today the birth of a new gaming community called Oculus Prime has occurred. A bit about myself, the founder, Xtasey is my nickname, although I am mainly known as "Xt" and have been an avid gamer since PCs and Macs first appeared in stores in the 80's, last century. I play all types of games, from MMOs, Indies, Multiplayer, and so on. OcPr is open to gaming enthusiasts of all types and an invitation is required as it is not a public group.

At the moment I am running a DayZ Epoch customized server (this is the mod for Arma II & Operation Arrowhead not the standalone version) and am looking for regular players who enjoy this mod. Although once again this is not a requirement to join. I am based in the US but am lucky to have friends that span the globe, so all are welcome no matter where you are! Just know that English is the main spoken language. :)

QUICK NEW SERVER UPDATE

Nexus Players,

Cash had told me that there were some strange database problems yesterday, plus I got reports of strange auto bans that shouldn't happen and early this morning I found an error in the server initialization file. After consulting with Cash,we went ahead and corrected the problem. Unfortunately it meant a server wipe, but this server has only been up a day and a half, so better to get it sorted now than later. Also the hosting company must be having some issues because the server went down quite suddenly, and not by my doing or any admin. Just FYI!

Nexus Server gets a Major Makeover

The Nexus Epoch Server now includes content from DayZ Overwatch and DayZ Origins, enhancing playability dramatically. Cash spent part of his Sunday June 21 and Monday June 22 to get it upgraded. There is a more comprehensive post on the Nexus Public Facebook page that details what has been added. I strongly urge you to read it so that you know what is now needed to connect to the server. I will also be announcing a new Nexus gaming website quite soon. Here is the link:

Thank you to those who stick it out and understand the vagaries of managing an Arma 2 server and all that implies. I appreciate your support and patronage of our server. And for the donators past and future I say thank you SO MUCH for helping keep the Nexus server and teamspeak server going!

Wow been a while since I have posted in this group. Currently spending a lot of time in Warframe and will subsequently shift gears in Oculus Prime to focus on that particular game. Horribly addicting and loads of fun for those that like that genre type! Hope any who read this are well and I invite your comments or even just a passing "hello"!

The server is back and up and running. Currency and banking, along with advanced training are all working. I still have more that I want to do but I didn't want to make everyone wait any longer. So for now consider yourself all server stress testers. I appreciate your patience during this time and I am happy to report that I have learned much and have some more mods that I wish to install into the server. Which means that in the next few days there will be another downtime, however I do not foresee it being as long as this one. I'm going for a much-needed rest so in the meantime enjoy yourself!

Server currently down until I manage to get it back to something like it was. The hosting company has made some changes which I updated my server using their new "system". According to the owner it would not wipte the database but it did, and well over half the mods I had in place have to be reinstalled. My sincere apologies for the delay, I am working on it when I can and will get it back up as quickly as possible. Please I ask for your patience, this was out of my control but now it's my responsibility to get it back online.

Having some difficulties with the server, but happy to report I made contact with a master scripter who was nice enough to give me his custom PBO to examine and use as I see fit. Dan Piggd. Some of you may have heard of him and played his servers. I play on the Chernarus one as a regular player and I love the customizations and want to use some on my server. I will keep working diligently to make it one that keeps you coming back.
