myTF2 Community Reunion

Calling all myTF2 veterans! Though the servers have long been dead, the community has lived on. We all know each other somehow, someway, and it's about time that we all reunite for a night of TF2.

I'm currently working on getting permission from a friend to use his server, and I'm set on putting the date in middle of February.

For those who don't remember myself, I was Morning Bell/Amnesiac on the servers, and friended most of you several years ago.

Regardless of your familiarity, it would be in your best interest to come out for a night for fragging and fun.

Please spread the word to all those previously prominent in the myTF2 community - I know I, as well as most of you, really want this to happen.

Hello again!

It's been a while since we've gotten together to play, so I thought I'd extend and offer to you for this summer.

The server I joined and am part of post-myTF2 is called Axls TF2. It's a server with interactive rtv (a separate map just for voting) and it's a breeding ground for under construction maps and custom classics.

One of these maps, axl_soccer, is specific to the server and far and away is one of the most popular maps on the server. It's ctf_ format, and classes are limited to scouts, 3 soldiers, 1 demo, and 3 medics. While many of you may think soccer (in reality) is one of the most drab sports on the planet, this map is a hit among all TF2 players. For the longest time, the server had only one server (Axls TF2), but now they're venturing out and adding a second (Axls Soccer Stadium). to kick off the new server, we've decided to start a weekly soccer league, with teams from all sorts of clans.

Soccer rules are fairly straight-forward, with only a few modifications for the tournament. As mentioned above, class selection will be limited. Each team will have 1 demo, 1 medic, 2 soldiers and 7 scouts. Weapons that are prohibited include: sticky jumper and any complete class sets. There is no time-limit; all games are played to three goals.

Registration is open until Friday, July 29. In order to sign up, you need to head over to the Axls TF2 forum and register, then post in the player thread <http://axlstf2.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=1439> as well as a single post for your team in the teams thread <http://axlstf2.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=1437>. Again, this event will start Friday, March 4 at 9:00 EST, 6:00 western. We'll probably end up on a different server than last time (which didn't have rtv), but worst case scenario we'll be on that one again.
