**Enable Console:

To Enable console go to, Steam -> My games
Then right click on "Left 4 Dead", then select "Properties" then "Set launch options..." and simply add "-console" into the field and press "ok".

Then start the game.

It should come up right away when in the Main Menu, However the console will close when you leave the Main Menu, so bind it to a key like:

bind F10 toggleconsole

Now you can open the console at anytime.


**Open server browser:

After you have enabled console, you can bind a key like this:

bind F11 openserverbrowser

Then you can press F11 the Server Browser will pop up


**Connect to our server from the lobby

I have tried several ways to get the lobby to send us to our server but have had no luck. I came across this hack that will do the job however. If you are creating a lobby you will need to exec a cfg to send the group to the appropriate server.

The steps are as follows:

1/ Make a file called myserver.cfg and save it in your:
C:/Program Files/Steam/steamapps/common/Left 4 Dead/left4dead/cfg/ folder

2/ Open myserver.cfg in notepad or wordpad, and add the following:

sv_cheats 1
ms_force_dedicated_server 8.12.16.88:27015


3/ When you are in the lobby, toggle the console, and type:

exec myserver


4/ Press the "Start Game" button. The game will then send you you our server "Casa de Muerto". You'll know its correct if you see the custom graphics I made with our logo.
