PCW initiative for Insugency

This groups sole purpose is to facilitate a place for people to find others to play against. As such the group will be public and open for anyone to join. The idea is for everybody to get access to the group chat and there search for opponents.

This will of course take some work to get of the ground and will very likely be something that is effected by timezones and how active people are during which hours of the day. But it is better then no place at all so do help spreading the word about it and get those that have any interest in playing proper clanwars, mixes, PUG's or whatever that is outside the normal pub-stomp.

Game Update

Yey! We got us some competitive option in the game now.

Most interesting bit would be....

New Competitive playlist featuring custom 5v5 Firefight gameplay designed specifically for high intensity competitive matches. This mode is in “beta” and will eventually feature a team vs team matchmaking and rank system. In the meantime, please give it a try and provide us with your feedback here.

So get to it. Give it a proper shake. Most likely it needs some more work but it is a huge step in the direction of more organized competitive gameplay.

Today (22nd) at 19:00 CET the fellas I game with will try it out. Hunt me down if you want in on the action.

right now as I write this it seems to be some issues on their end that messes up serverbrowser and so on. I assume it will be fixed til I wake up. :)

First announcement

Well then. Here we are. Still not many but getting there.

First of a bit of gossip. It looks like we have some goodies incoming. Rumours (or actually dev confirmed) about an update coming in about a month from writing this. Something about new content and new/reworked UI. Not much to go on but any update is fun for us all.

Keep pushing your friends to join this group. As we gain numbers we will be more attractive to join and lets face it. For this to work we do need good numbers to draw players from.
In the wait for the main idea of this group to work I suggest trying to get some consistency and make set times to play if you are enough to go for internal games. Me and mine will have our first "internal/pug/gather" whatever evening on wednesday(19:00CET). Depending on the turnout I will come here to the groupchat and look for more people. But we will have to see how all that goes.

For any newcomers I can say that yes competitive matchmaking is in the works for Insugency. In fact it is even in the public beta branch. But I wouldn't expect it to drop into the live build on the incoming update.

That is about it I guess. Do leave any suggestions on how to promote and grow a good PCW scene. Maybe we should arrange a PUG/Gather/MiX evening once a week for all group members. Is that something you guys would be interested in?
