Bei Virtualracing e.V. gab es über die letzten Monate vermehrt Anfragen nach Spaßevents für Jedermann und daraus hat sich mehr oder weniger spontan der „Friday Fun Club“ entwickelt – eine formlose Zusammenkunft aktiver VR-Fahrer, die Freitags einfach etwas Spaß haben wollen um gemeinsam Rennen auszutragen, neue Leute kennen zu lernen, Tipps und Tricks mitzunehmen, die eigenen Fertigkeiten zu verbessern.

Allerdings mit der Einschränkung, dass zumindest ohne eine verbindliche Grundstruktur die aktive Teilnahme mehr oder weniger dahinplätschert. Also haben wir uns zusammengesetzt um ein etwas verbindlicheres Konzept zu erstellen und präsentieren die VRO (Virtual Racing Open).

Die Rennen der VRO finden künftig alle 14 Tage Freitags ab 20:00 Uhr (MEZ) in unterschiedlichen Formaten statt und sollen praktisch für jeden R3E-Besitzer zugänglich sein, egal ob Rookie, Fortgeschrittener oder Experte.

During the past weeks and months we had various requests for Open Funcacing outside the VR-Leagues and so active VR-Members ( also folks from Sector 3 Forum) gathered on Fridays (Friday Fun Club, we announced a while ago) to have some fun, get to know new people, for advice and learning, gaining experience a.s.o . Another point is the fact that many RRE Fans own an impressive car pool and various tracks that are hardly in use most of the time - specially when it comes to onlineracing on Public Servers and respective Events.

As a result we came together at Virtualracing e.V. to work out a more binding concept and present the Virtual Racing Open (VRO) and like to invite anyone who wants to participate for fair & sober racing on stable servers : No matter if Rookie, Random Driver or SimPro. The races are held every second Friday per Month now (8:00 pm CET) - due to the beginning of the 2nd VR Season 2017 with many Leagues involved it is not possible to offer these events on a weekly basis anymore.
