FDG Darkest Hour Server [TANK MAPS]

Fair Dinkum Gamers are a multi game group. We run an Australian based Darkest Hour server. The server is located in Brisbane and is dedicated to tank and combined arms maps. We believe this is the only Tank Maps DH server in our part of the world.

We welcome players who value teamwork, respect for others, and a polite place to enjoy a game with friends. New players are welcome on the server. If you are still learning don't be shy to ask questions, most players are happy to help. See our forum for tips on setting up game controls.

The server has ingame voice activated, please use it sensibly. That means it is primarily for tactical use, but some chat is OK at times. Keep in mind that the more players online the busier the communications will be. That means general chat may not be appropriate. Common sense should be used.

Naturally we want to enjoy a popular and sucessful server. To do this we reckon the foundation is to to have a regular group of players. Hopefully this group will help spread the word, not only about our server, but about Darkest Hour too.

Be sure to get into "Battle Night" each Tuesday at 7pm Australian Eastern Standard Time (GMT +10). Local players please note this is NOT daylight savings time.

This group is also about generating ideas to keep the Darkest Hour thing happening (and to convert Infantry types to Tankers) so get involved, and help promote this great game.

NOTE: Many of the maps we host are custom, and you will need to download them. The game does this automatically when you join, or when the map changes. However, if you don't want to miss out on valuable playing time click on the link below to download the maps before playing.

Tank addicts keep Tuesday nights free for some heavy calibre action. Get to the FDG server from 7pm AEST. Our first Tuesday night event is set for 8 December 2009. Don't miss it.

Another Battle Night done and dustedt. Attendence was down from our best night two weeks ago. However, I am encouraged that more local players are finding us and joining this group, welcome to all our new members.

A few people have commented that it would be great to see more players using our local based server. I can only agree, I would like nothing more than to see it used more, and not just once a week. Can you help us get there? Perhaps you could invite friends to a game on the server. If we get a few players on there it will usually kick start it for others to join. Also invite players to join this group. Imagine if each current member found us just one new member, suddenly we double in size! I reckon this would get things happening ingame.

On another note I'd like to announce our first "Player of the Weelk" has been awarded to Furious. He is always there supporting the game and the server. Thanks mate, appreciate it.

A good turn out for Battle Night last night. Only our second Tueday night but it looks like we may have found a free bit of gaming space. We had 14 players in at one point and many where from Australia and NZ. Looks like there is a local DH tank cadre out there. I'm looking forward to the next one and hope to see even more people there. If you meet someone playing from Aus/NZ or nearby, or maybe someone from further afield who you reckon would enjoy some games with us, then invite them to join our group. The more the merrier. See you ingame soon.

Ok, we are gong to give Tuesday nights a go. First one will be 8 December at 7pm AEST. This will give us time to promote it. Get out there and spread the word. If we want good games we need players.
