Help us put the competitive edge back in FAS

Hey guys,

First, I want to start off by thanking you for joining us and helping provide feedback in order to make FAS a better eSport. You can consider this feedback forum as your sanctuary since no one else has access to this feedback forum other than you. We have purposely segregated you from the other testers as we did not bring you on to help us find bugs, but so that you can give us input on the FAS gameplay and where it needs to be to make it more competitive.

Some things to look out for:
Pacing of Gameplay: Not so much literal movement speeds, but how fast you progress through the game from map full captures to simply killing your opponents.
Weapon Feel: How the weapons feel in regards to recoil, screenshake, animations, sounds, and feedback from kills and headshots.
Weapon Balance: Where all the weapons stand in relation to each other with damages, rate of fire, recoil, accuracy, and damage fall off.
Maps and Gamemodes: Do the maps incorporate all the engagements you desire in a competitive shooter, and are the objectives satisfying to achieve in our current gamemodes?
User Interface Feedback: Do you have all the tools on your HUD to make you an effective player, or is it simply too cluttered?

I can't force you to give feedback and you could very well try out the game and say "this isn't worth my time," but I hope that's not the case. The reason I have brought you all in is because I have a strong personal attachment to this game. I have been personally working on it for the past 5 years and will do what I can to see the game succeed. My dream, for FAS, is to see it develop into an internation eSport and host multiple cash prize tournaments, as well as foster a competitive scene around Firearms: Source. In order to fulfill this dream, I need to get feedback from the people who will be participating in this competitive scene. I can guarantee you that I will read and consider all feedback you provide, and do my best to make sure this game meets your needs, but I can't promise that everything will be implemented. We need to consider that in order for a competitive scene to grow, there needs to be a casual scene who not only want to watch competitive matches, but who become interested enough in the casual game to want to move into the competitive scene. When you have casuals become interested in the competitive scene, that is where you will see more clans develop, more tournaments being hosted, and more people for you to compete against.

I want you all to be as honest as possible about the elements I have described above and hope that you will all help me make FAS a better game, for you. I truly appreciate you all taking the time out of your day to run through FAS and giving us feedback.

Thanks,
Dan
