ABOUT ETW Gentleman's Duels

ENERGIZE DEVELOP ORGANIZE

This group is inspired to bring together all those who still play ETW. Envision a group for the community run by the community. Here we will coordinate Tournaments, events, and just plain ETW goodness.

The guidelines are very simple. If they work for you great if not see ya later.
We will include all players no matter what region you are from. We will not tolerate any forms of discrimination. Players who display names or speech that could be considered offensive will be warned once. Second offence will be removal from the group.

Based on our first voting: We will vote on our League structure every 6 months. Our League play tournaments will happen continuously one after another to keep those spirits high. We are open to run multi tournaments at a time. Most players who voted prefer team play with majority wanting 3v3 or 4v4. 2v2's were very close behind and we do have some players interested in 1v1's but it is the lowest group.

So, with not enough people willing to be team leads we can not start a tournament as previously discussed.
Therefore, I propose we try something a little radical.
Proposal:

  • We do a nations tournament.
  • Nations played are decided by a wheel spin.
  • You must play as this nation for this whole tournament is concluded.
  • You may trade your nation with another player as long as you both agree and it is approved by the referee. Meaning if you are uneasy with your picked nation then you can ask for a trade. You might want to consider who you trade with. You might not want to just give your nation to a player who is excellent with that nation unless it benefits you.
  • Battles are to be 3v3 or 4v4.
  • Your team mates will be Random players vs contestant and group of Random players
    No experienced players other than you.
    Meaning we will see if you can lead a group of random sheep to victory or one of your opponents can lead his group of random sheep to victory. Are you the lion leading the sheep or the sheep leading the lions?
  • rules will be either 012, 023, 034, 123, 134 decided by wheel spin
  • Map will be decided by wheel spin. Finland, Siberian Plateau, Syrian Ridge, Austrian Pennicles
  • tournament will be round robin style
Purpose: instead of having high pressure that tournaments usually bring you can have fun and laughs at your teams or your opponents teams expense. This could bring new players into multiplayer that could have potential. Also it exposes players we don't want to play with lol. We can Ban cheating randoms so that other players do not allow them into a match.

To all, I present to a competition it is an NTW vs ETW challenge. The challenge is who can have the most protectorates. There will be 3 winners;

Who can have the most protectorates by 100 turns (+3 points)
Who can have the most protectorates by 200 turns (+2 points)
Who can have the most protectorates by 300 turns (+1 points)

The person with the most points WIN

Im sorry to imform you all but as of currently due to Multiplayer on all TW games I have i will not be able to participate. Hopefully it will resolve itsself.....if anyone knows how to fix it please tell me ASAP. - Dusty(Total Wars Master)
