For Elden Ring players who keep crashing on startup

The purpose of our little crew is simultaneously memes and a means to make note of how many people are suffering from Elden Ring crashing on start-up.

If it isn't patched soon, we're probably gonna be putting down all of the currently known methods to fix the issue, as well.

WE ARE NO LONGER RINGLESS, TARNISHED! The fix list has been updated with new methods! If it means anything, I've finally gotten the game to work now using the Vulkan fix with EAC disabled.

I figured it'd be best to let those of y'all know who haven't had any progress yet or who've given up hope, since I only /JUST/ discovered the Vulkan patch!

hi, was having this issue on two pirated copies of elden ring, as well as one purchased on steam. tried all of the fixes listed without success, so i started fiddling around. during one restart i went into the bios, turned off xmp and game mode (probably not on all mobos but check for it if you have one from MSI), and performed a SSD scan. while it's unlikely the scan did much, the game finally booted after that. double check for those 2 things in your bios and turn them off.

for reference my specs are RTX 3080 10G, R7 5800X, 32GB RAM, MSI GAMING PLUS MAX mobo.

Sadly the Dx11 trick doesn't work for me. I"ll be sure ti put it down though in case it works for anyone else!

According to the creator of this fix, the problem with my graphics card was actually the fact that it doesn't have directX12 feature_level 12_0 (GTX950M).

However to use this fix you still need a graphics card that support directX12 feature_level 11_0 I think.

I might try it next month on my old laptop with 16GB ram and 940MX 2GB so my refund request is valid if the fix does not work.
