Competitive callouts and doctyr ethics

This is our code of conduct for competitive matches. Please adhere to these rules while playing with me in a competitive game, and consider adopting them for all your games if they resonate with you.

1. There is no leader. It does not matter who is top fragging, who is the highest rank, or who is talking the most. Everyone has on days and off days and people cannot necessarily lead all the time. So what this means is it is never appropriate to ask what the play is. You are either calling out the play, or simply following the basic game play. On T side the basic gameplay is to protect the bomb and deliver it to a bomb site. On CT side the basic play is to stay near the middle in cover and wait to see which site the bomb arrives at and then push that site. It is no one’s responsibility to tell you what to do, and if someone does step up to lead we must follow what they say. Give everyone the chance to lead and follow their idea with all your energy. The one time that we must reject a leader is when one person keeps making the wrong calls, in which case we need to shut them down.

2. Keep your radio callouts concise. This means that we’re not chatting during a match. It also means once you’re dead you stop opening your radio at all. This especially goes for people who like to complain or flabbergast at their death. When you exclaim disappointment at when you die you make it out as if you are the center of attention; the person who is alive is the centre of attention. After you die either make a helpful call out or just remain quiet.

3. The game is not over until it’s over. Do not ever give in to resignation in chat, and especially over voice chat. Despair is more contagious than happiness, and we must repress despair if we ever hope to win. Keep a good attitude and a sportsman like outlook on the game and that way even when you lose you appreciate the experience.

Thanks for reading and no hard feelings if these rules are broken, we all do these things. I just wanted to get it down in writing what we aspire to be, and what a professional team might look like. When I play comp I want to win, and the people who have a difficult time integrating into a winning team ought not to be playing competitive. This does not mean that you cannot be a doctyr, being a casual is fine too. And there are no rules for casual, anything goes in there.

I recognized the guys name from some games, thats why I accepted his friend request in the first place...though now I wonder who exactly this person is.
