Hello everyone, this is a short announcement to infrom you that there is a problem with the server and for some reason it keeps crashing. I have attempted to restart the server but the message "unable to connect to the remote server" appears. I am currently working with other members of the staff team to resolve this issue and the server should be back up fully later today.

Hello everyone. This announcement has been created to inform the remaining members of this group that I am now re-opening the server as an Outlands RP server due to requests from former loyal members of the community. I will also be explaining why some members may have been kicked from the group and upcoming changes to the server.

Firstly, all inactive members of the community have been removed except members that I remember were particularly loyal and benficial to the server and hope that at some point they will return. However, certain members who were bad members of the community and only caused trouble were also kicked from the group and are soon to be banned on the server. If these members are to harass me, or any other member of this community because of this incident, then I will take further action against you.

On a brighter note, the new server will be set in the Outlands so the rebels will have slightly more power. The main factions we will have are the Conscripts, Lambda Resistance, Refugees and OTA Soldiers. We will be using Ineu Valley 2 as our map however that may change in the future.

Finally, there will be many more changes coming to server as well as discussions on the group page to provide you with more detailed faction information and server lore.

Hello everyone, this announcement will be discussing my reasons for choosing to take the executive decision of finally closing our server, Clarity Gaming.

PLEASE NOTE: I am not 100% decided on if I will close the server yet. This announcement has been designed to explain the reasons that I WOULD close the server for if I deemed it necesseary.

Firstly, my main reason for closing the server is mostly because I will be unable to keep running the server myself. I am expected to achieve very high grades in my GCSE subjects in school and it is not easy to achieve high grades with a big distraction, which is all this server would be. Some people may argue that I could just leave the running of the server to someone like Ryder. However, I'm sad to say that I'm not satisfied with that option and I will discuss why in later paragraphs.

Secondly, the servers playerbase has declined rapidly. Some people claim it is my fault, but since this is the last announcement I feel like it's only fitting I explain my opinion on this. I think that the server became cancerous mostly because of the bandits and the CCA units that I killed who chose to kick up a fuss needlessley and they gained support because they misinformed other people. The bandits/rebels side is obvious and I don't need to go into detail, they were always cancer for reasons everyone should know. However, the CCA units who seemed to think they were doing their job well chose to kick up a fuss when they died. I can safely say that I do not regret killing them and I assure everyone reading this that the server is not falling because of their actions, but mostly because of their stupidty which continued on after they were killed. Although I do admit that in my eyes at least two of them made up for their actions.

Finally, the server developed a cancerous reputation, a low playerbase and no signs or willingness to move foward. If I were to go into detail of what I meant here it would take me forever to explain everything and I doubt the people it is directed to would be smart enough to understand it anyway, so I won't bother.

Hello everyone, this will be a long announcement discussing the upcoming changes to the server and what I think we need to do to improve, because it is clear to me that we need to.

Firstly, although the majority of my staff team has been doing a good job recently, I feel like they have lacked guidance and clarity on what to do in certain situations, which is why I have decided to introduce staff training. This new training will allow staff to easily discipline people and provide them with guidance and how I would like them to manage staff situations. This will also mean they won't have to contact me over steam as much to decide what they need to do if a problem arises. If any staff members have a problem with this staff training, please contact me over steam so we can discuss it.

Secondly, I will be writing up the full lore of the server to ensure that all players know what the lore is and if something crazy is added in without permission, you can point to the lore discussion to support you. It will also prevent insane lore from growing out of nowhere and players should be able to RP better if they take the time to read it.

Thirdly, I will be introducing some new rules into the CCA as well as a retraining session where units will have to be retrained to see if they are fit to keep their rank. In addition, higher ranking units will be more heavily augmented and more segregated from lower ranking units, only talking with them when they need to discuss something important. Relationships will also be banned due to a recent situation in the CCA that I think just about everyone knows about by now. In short, you can expect to see a lot of changes in the CCA. Oh and The_Guardian has been appointed as my new Sectorial Commander for his recent hard work and supporting these new rules as well as Mccree my Overwatch Commander. I am greatful for both their support.

Another change that will be happening is to the CWU, although this will be discussed ICly and through the recent CWU discussions that were made. I wll leave a link to the discussions at the end of this announcement.

Finally, in the upcoming staff meeting, we will be discussing the rebel/bandit situation and coming up with solid rules that will keep them under tight control when it comes to doing ridiculous things like raiding the citadel and casually walking around the city just because no CCA units are online. If you want this server to be a success, regarldess of your faction, you have to work with me here instead of causing trouble.

This announcement is going to discuss why I think the rebels have gone too far and what I'm going to do about it... nothing more to it.

Firstly, the rebels are just that - a rebellion. They are not highly trained super soldiers with the ability to defeat an interdimensional empire or attack their main base of operations which would usually be guarded by thousands of Overwatch Soldiers, cameras, turrets and much more. In a head to head fight with the combine, the rebellion will LOOSE because unlike the OTA, they must follow PainRP and FearRP. If the rebels see an OTA member, they shouldn't try to kill him or attack him unless the risk is worth it because that OTA member has the ability to call in backup as well as put up a good fight. Let's use the German Rebellion back in World War 2.... the majority of the time they would NEVER go up against the main fighting force of the Nazis, they would be covert using gureilla warfare, distrupting supply lines, sending spies into the city, distrupting communications... not building enormous bases out in the outlands that they wouldn't have the manpower or resources for.

Secondly, I often hear people complain on both sides saying that "things aren't fair" or "he's too OP" and blah, blah, blah.... but if you think about it that is pretty much the game. Life is not supposed to be a walk in the park for the resistance, it is supposed to be a challenge. In addition, if anyone has been too OP recently, it's probably been the rebels who I've seen carrying RPG's on multiple occasions, weapons which can one shot people and going in head to head fights with the combine. I'd like to remind you that this isn't supposed to be military rp... if you see an OTA elite group or have an OTA elite group hunting you, then you don't fight unless you have no alternative.

Also, OTA Units CANNOT go rogue and CANNOT be hacked... they are brainwashed to begin with and the knowledge required to hack into one is WAYYY beyond the rebels unless they stole a sample of our technology which would be found at Nova Prospekt or the augmentation room in the citadel... which isn't even there anymore since props got remove awhile back. My main point here is that "hacking" Hurricane isn't possible...

Finally, the rebels main purpose is to help the citizens and to try to give them a better quality of living. You cannot say that you are trying to "help the citizens" and then proceed to bomb the subway and create an autonomous judgment which gets them all killed. In short, just be covert, help the citizens, follow fearrp and painrp and I think things will be fine...

Also I'd like to add that soon I won't be able to keep dealing with problems like this. I have my exams and real life problems to deal with which are more important that this. If the server cannot function to at least a good standard, I will close it because I will soon no longer have the time to keep running it as I have been. I need help from the community and my staff team if this server is going to remain alive. Not the community seemingly turning against me...
