At this point, early access should be considered high-risk purchases requiring in-depth consumer research and analysis. Purchasing these in-development games also asks you to keep in mind that you also chance wasting your time & money. No matter how thorough your research was, a developer can just walk out the next day without any prior notice to the publics. This, coupled with the fact that several current-gen city-building games are mostly either Kickstarter concepts or early access, makes building a list very hard.
