I. I am one of these mad men now. Searching for life on this distant forgotten land…

As you cough a mixture of saltwater and blood sprays on the white sand, clumping it together, the pain from convolutions has left some of this water in your eyes. Peering through blurry and obscured sight of salty tears in your eyes, you search franticly for a piece of rag on your body not covered by sand, seaweed, and wet with filth. Finding some loose cloth scorched by the sun, you give it a brush quick and immediately begin to dry your eyes only to find that this action has its own pain as well. Sunburn never feels good and just as you come to terms with this burn, the rest of all soreness and agony begins to slowly make itself aware in your mind’s eye. Hunger, muscle cramps, seared flesh, and a thirst that washes over you like a great cataract. Shade! The singular thought you can muster through all the pain signals and only thing you can think to slave one of your ailments. The rest will have to come later.

Outlaws abound

The door to Jarl Ulfsson’s mead hall bursts open, letting in a spray of the rain falling outside. Jarl Thorgrim looks up from his cups to see Bruce McDuff standing, in the fires dull glow, drenched to the bones and shivering. Bruce, like so many times before, strides purposefully across the mead halls dank interior and pulls up a chair near the Jarl. Thorgrim nods to Bruce and slides him a cup of mead. Thanking Thorgrim, Bruce downs the cup in one huge gulp, and places the tankard back on the table.

“Troubles abound these days Thorgrim,” Bruce spouted after finally taking a breath from his mead. Thorgrim glances at him questioningly as he pours him another tankard of mead. Bruce continues, “I’ve heard rumors these weeks past, though not given to believe such non-sense, I’ve given them no more thought than squashing a biting fly. Until tonight.” Bruce grabs his cup, but does not drink. By now, everyone in the mead hall has gathered to hear what is troubling Bruce.

Inebrius, already living up to his name sake and 3 sheets to the wind, yells from a dark corner, “Speak plainly, as my mead may grow legs and walk away if I have to wait any longer for you to tell us your news.” Nervous laughter consumes the mead hall. “Outlaws!” Bruce exclaims, “the Broadarm clan we long thought extinct has re-emerged. I’ve seen them on the road this night.”

Atticus rises from his bench, and moves closer to Thorgrim and McDuff. “Something should be done, and quickly. We cannot let these whoresons run amuck. The goat-pricked arse droppings have long been a nuisance in these lands,” Atticus says as he slams his hand down for emphasis. Every patron of the mead hall added his support to Atticus. Inebrius, now more inebriated, pushes his bench back from the table grating the legs across the rush strewn floor, “It seems we have open season on the Broadarms!”

((Outlaws going by the family name Broadarm have invaded the Burning Kingdoms. They are fair game for KOS and open PvP; they will also be able to attack and “rob” anyone they come across. Each bandit will have at least one worthwhile piece of loot on them, from weapons or armor to crafting items and resources. If you see them, and are brave enough, the loot is yours! Event starts tonight and will end late Monday night))
