BioTech Games - Indie Game Development Company

Indie game devs: "We play and make games because we simply love it."

We are an independent game development company based in Sweden that currently consists of eleven members, all of them being young gamers. True, we are small, but we are still growing - and soon, we will become a force to be reckoned with!

We value our community and many of your ideas and insights make us to explore new possibilities, to go the extra mile to add something new and to tweak things so you all can enjoy our game(s) as much as we do. Or even more!

Yep, we are. It should be no surprise that most people working in this industry simply love games. And what is more, they love making games. And we are not different - we do what we all love: We play and make games!

We focus mainly (but not solely) on gameplay of our games and their story, two gaming aspects that almost never grow old (when done correctly). We do not focus on graphics at the moment. Instead, we imbue our game with the charm of pixels.

What are you working on at the moment?

Currently, we work on our first big game called Solar Space, a 2D sci-fi sandbox full of exploration and resources management where you can command your armada of spaceships or even conquer whole galaxy.

Solar Space V0.7.0 - Armory Update

The armory update is finally here for Solar Space V0.7.0, this covers tons of new features, addons and bug fixes.

We're slowly but steady getting closer to releasing the game. Plan is being published on steam through greenlight with your support.
Solar Space is currently translated to over 15 languages. It is supported on all PC operating systems including windows, mac and linux.

There has also been updates in our forums, due to recent spam attacks we have improved security drastically. We have also updated all groups, this means they have a different color than before, so make sure to check it out at www.biotechgames.com/forum

As many has noticed, we have disabled the ability to donate us through paypal and steam, only patreon is accepted. The reason of this is to keep all information in one place, making it always up to date. Also to track contributors through one site, this allows us to track who is contributor automatically. And in future even reward contributors right once they pledged. You can find our patreon page here[www.patreon.com]
For the ones who doesn't know what patreon is, it's a funding site which works similar to kickstarter or paypal. To join or contribute, simply create an account, with option to link your paypal to your patreon account it has never been easier to fund projects, both single payments and monthly investments.

Now finally, to our game update. During the recent weeks we've fixed countless of bugs. Added fullscreen support for all monitor resolutions. Added landmines and added minor things to the multiplayer. Furthermore, we improved the light system and I personally think it looks pretty cool. Going to share the development soon through a gameplay video, but be patient.
The current version of Solar Space is V0.6.2 and we are on our way to V0.7!

This message has been delayed due to a steam bug which prevented certain number of members to not recieve the announcements as the group shows incorrect numbers of players online. Our group is not the only one suffering this problem, thousands of steam communities are. I hope you help us report this issue as we cannot use steam's all features. All news and announcements will be posted on our forums, so make sure to check it out frequently if you're interested in our projects.
