For the first set up best of threes, the team with the highest seed will pick the first Naut in the first game. Then the loser of the previous games start picking the Naut in the follow games.
For best of ones, the starting team is random.
All results and replays must be submitted to [email protected] instead of the regular way of resulting. This is is because the broadcast will stream the games with a certain delay and to avoid spoiling the viewers.
Hi all! Sorry about the delays, details for the Alienware Awesome Cup 2 Grand Finals are included below.
As pointed out earlier, the matches will take place on both Saturday and Sunday. This was done to ensure participants don’t have to play for the entire day on Saturday and can get some rest before the finals. We have also decided to make ALL MATCHES IN THE LOSERS BRACKET BEST-OF-1. Exceptions to this rule are the Losers Semi-Final and Losers Final, which will be played out as Best-of-3.
Both tournament days start at 16:00 GMT+2, which is the same time as the EU Qualifiers have started. Here is a countdown to the start of the Saturday matches (http://bit.ly/1fzHURu) , and here’s a countdown for the Sunday matches (http://bit.ly/1FAnvAB) .
The following matches will be played out on Saturday:
16:00 Initial Round of 16 - Bo3
18:00 Round of 8 - Winners - Bo3
18:00 First Round of 8 - Losers - Bo1
20:00 Round of 4 - Winners - Bo3
20:00 Second Round of 8 - Losers - Bo1
20:45 First Round of 4 - Losers - Bo1
22:00 Second Round of 4 - Losers - Bo1
The following matches will be played out on Sunday:
16:00 Winners Final - Bo3
16:00 Losers Semi-Final - Bo3
18:00 Losers Final (has to wait for both preceding matches to finish) - Bo3
20:00 Grand Final - Bo5, with +1 to Winners bracket finalist
Times mentioned above are all in GMT+2 and are merely to suggest how long the brackets could take. It assumes a time of 2 hours per Bo3 and 45 minutes per Bo1. Teams are generally encouraged to start their next bracket as soon as all relevant information has been submitted to the admins and both teams are ready.
Replays and results need to be submitted to Admins manually, and CC’ed to ESChamp. The correct emailaddresses for this will be provided closer to the actual tournament.
Brackets are seeded and will be posted by Linus later today.
Hosting rules and information on the stream coverage are to be determined and will be provided closer to the actual tournament.
If you have any concerns or additional questions, please reach out to [email protected].
Please keep an eye on this place over the coming days as more information may be published.
Again, for immediate concerns, please get in touch on [email protected].
One of the options currently on the table would be to run parts of it on Saturday AND Sunday, but we would obviously need to find a solution that works for all parties and teams involved. I will follow up in the next 24 hours with a solution.
For any immediate concerns, please get in touch on [email protected]
